I have a beautiful 1 year old female red and white husky w/ blue eyes. She is amazing in Everyway. She knows all commands and is incredibly smart. She is crate training and is excellent around other animals, kids and loves all people. She does not beg, play rough or chew up my belongings. She is great on lead and just all around an amazing dog in Everyway..other than all the for she produces I am on this forum looking for a new home for her. I recently yook a new job which requires 50+ hours a week M-F. I just do not have the time nor energy for her. Although I have thought of paying a dog sitter, it would make no sense. I want her to have a real home with a family and a yard, preferably with other dogs and if not then be able to give her the love and attention she deserves. I will post a picture tomorrow and I am open for suggestions. I haven't browsed around the whole forum yet, as I am on my phone. Help.

How adorable! We just got a new puppy but we are so close to Tampa. If only we lived in a house! I'll post on my Facebook to see if anyone I know is interested. You can also try these groups to see if anyone is willing to help: https://www.facebook.com/groups/CFLSnowdogs/?fref=ts https://www.facebook.com/groups/184793471549071/ I don't think they allow "selling litters" but I've seen quite a few people post about needing to re-home or adopt.

I will post a pic tomorrow, she's absolutely beautiful. And homing her in the right home is my goal. It's not fair for me to keep her just bc she is the best dog ever, she deserves more. She is not fixed. But if the new home wanted me to do so before surrendering her I would.

I'd go ahead and look into that. It'll be easier on her, I'd imagine, having it done where she's comfortable rather than waiting until she's in a new home, with new people. Up to you, but most people would appreciate her being spayed I'd think.

In my opinion it would also be a good idea to get her spayed, because then you know greedy people won't use her in a puppy mill and there's no chance of her having an unwanted pregnancy

I agree, I think you should definitely get her spayed. There are so many people who would love to "adopt" any purebred dog and use it as a puppy machine. We all just want what is best for your baby along with you. I am sorry you have to give up your baby, but thank you for doing it the responsible way . Will you be doing home checks and vet references??

FYI, you cannot post her on CFLSnowdogs if she's not spayed. It's one of their rules for advertising dogs for rehome. You can also try https://www.facebook.com/#!/pages/Sandy-Paws-Sled-Dog-Club-Of-Tampa-Bay/278428302096?fref=ts but I'm unaware of their rules. I also urge you to get her spayed before rehoming her. I've heard an awful story about a little red and white who was rehomed un-spayed and the new owners sold her again and she ended up with someone who kept her tied out and bred her on every heat. Thankfully rescue somehow ended up with her and she ended up in a good home. You can also contact Husky Haven of FL and Siberian Husky Rescue of FL and they may post info about her on their websites, but I do think they will require her to be spayed first (it's a rule in FL that all dogs adopted out from a shelter or rescue need to be fixed). _________________ -Sara

I do understand that places will require her to be spayed or neutered. The reason for getting on this forum was to potentially place her with a member who was on here or with someone a member knew personally. I am aware of both husky rescue outta florida, I just wanted to avoid trying to place her through a rescue agency.

She LOVES car rides. I take her everywhere and my car looks like someone snowed in it!! She has only got sick in the car once and it was after taking her to the dog beach after she ate. She threw up her kibble on the way home from injesting the ocean water. But other than that..she has never gotten sick on any ride. I have taken her to Jacksonville with me and down to Sarasota and even ran errands with her for hours at a time. She loves it!

That would be perfect. I also would not mind placing this dog in a home so see if she worked out for a few weeks...if she did not work out I would take her right back. I would never want her put into a rescue or humane society environment. She loves other dogs, kids, cats, people, etc. I kid you not when I say she is a perfect dog.

| ...I would take her if no one else can, thing is though I live in Indiana. I'd love another red/white and a female at that. It helps she is already trained and well mannered as I was going to wait till Malfoy was older so I could have time to train another.
Again though I live in Indiana so I would probably be more a last resort. I do have a fenced in yard and Malfoy gets plenty of lovings and attention, daily walks and car rides as well as play dates with friends dogs. |
