Yesterday was just like any day and Cain was normal and all. It wasn't until later that afternoon that he began to get diarrhea. I fed him at his usual time and he ate it all only to completely barf it up an hour later. Throughout the night he kept squirting out the stool like water he got up about 3 or 4 times to poop and was just all diarrhea. In the morning I fed him again and he ate.
i left for school and when I came back earlier today I found out he vomited in the hallway I gave him some water and he drank it all and no more than 2 minutes later he was vomiting again. Whats weird is that when he is inside he is just laying on the cold floor (It is starting to get hot here), but as soon as I took him outside he saw my neighbors dogs and hauled to get over there, I let him play for a bit while I chatted a bit with her.
So I don't know if he would be considered lethargic or not, he is currently sleeping on the kitchen floor probably because of the sickness.
What I am now asking is if this is might be caused because of weather changes, NC weather is kind of crazy especially in the last month, there were days where it was 40 and the next day it would be 60. So can weather be a possibility for his sickness?
He was taking medication for his roundworms, but recently ran out and he has his next vet appointment this Saturday So i will definitely ask my vet.
I would also like to add that yesterday we got a bit distracted with the Champions League going on and all so we didn't exactly keep a close eye on him, but when we finally noticed he was quiet we went to check on him only to find out he shred to pieces a roll of toilet paper. I am not sure if he ate any. There was a ton of paper on the floor.
His current diet is Kirkland Signature Puppy food from Costco, he does well on it for being a grain based diet. I have not recently changed anything in his diet. The food also according to dogfoodadvisor.com is rated at 4/5 stars so its pretty good.
here is a picture of the food:
I did do some research and found some stuff to help him out a bit, I read that I should not feed him or give him excessive amounts of water (oops
) for at least 12 hours, to let his stomach settle.Afterwards if he is feeling better I should feed him boiled rice and chicken. Any suggestions to help him feel better up until his appointment?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated, Thanks!
