I made my first post in the food forum, but I wanted to say hello here as well. Since this is more the "general" forum.

It seems like you have a great group here. I am eager to talk with you all and get to know you and your stories with your dogs. I have owned one dog before growing up. We got her at a year old. But I got a husky (the dog I have always wanted) when she was 2 months old. I tell you what, this has been quite an experience hahaha. She is now 4 months old and will be 5 months at the end of April. She is a wonderful friend so far! Yes, there have been some growing pains, but they have been well worth it.

So she is 4 months and around 22-24 lbs....is that pretty big? I have no idea at what age they stop growing. How big do you think she could be? I know the average weight for females can be from 45-60 lbs...I'm hoping she will be as big as possible.

That seems like a pretty normal weight/pace, from my limited experience. My male puppy is 22 lbs at 3.5 months.

She is a beauty.

She's so cute! She has a very similar mask to my male Darwin, with the white above the eyes! My male Darwin is at 50lbs and he's 2. Watson is 5 months and he's at 36lbs. Females seem to weigh less than males, but you never know, she could get up there in weight!

Thanks guys. I have had some very interesting experiences with her. She has had and been battling a bladder infection. Antibiotics helped but after those didnt quite seem to help another vet told me to chang her diet. I had her on blue buffalo. I then read too many horror stories that probably aren't even true and I took her off. Started her on some orijen today so we will see how that goes. I'm glad to find a community to talk to people about huskies. She is a precious dog, but she really presses her boundaries with my patience and limits with her.

I just wanted to say 40-60 pounds is actually the average for males, the average for females is 35-50 pounds. However depending on her parents weights, that could give you an idea on what the pups weight to be. And as far as 'as big as possible' huskies are actually medium sized dogs and aren't supposed to be that big.

That being said, my 8 month old currently weighs 36 pounds and weighed 20.5 pounds when she was 4 months, so your pup seems right on track for an average female.
