Forum Rules
1. Here we prefer clarity to agreement. Obviously not everyone is going to agree on a topic; here we prefer to talk out our differences in a respectful manner to ensure mutual understanding and respect.
2. Read the Stickies and Announcements. Each sub-forum may have specific rules which trump the Forum Rules in cases where there may be conflicting information. Read the rules of each board before you post so that you are clear on the expectations of the staff.
3. Respect ALL Staff and Admins. These people volunteer of their time and MUST be respected as well as their word adhered to. They are responsible for maintaining a free, open, clear and organized forum. Anyone found to be openly undermining any official ruling by a staff member will be warned.
4. Signatures: One picture only and no links. Images: To keep the forum looking neat and tidy, we ask that members insert just one picture only in their signatures. The picture should be no more than 200x500 pixels and should be of an appropriate subject, for example, your dogs and their names. Should you need assistance creating an appropriate signature, please PM an Admin and we would be happy to help! This is to ensure that signatures remain a welcome addition to our forum instead of a cumbersome distraction. Links: Hyperlinks in signatures--unless to a personal blog or photo stream of your dogs (like Flckr or Piscasa, for example)--are strictly prohibited. Please PM a staff member with any questions or concerns regarding this rule.

Fun at the Dog Park Empty
PostSubject: Fun at the Dog Park   Fun at the Dog Park EmptyWed Apr 03, 2013 5:43 pm

My sister, boyfriend and I took Nunya and Snoopy to the dog park yesterday and since it was Snoopy's first time we initially left him in the car to take Nunya for a lap around to settle in. Well the gate to get into the park is at the top of a hill and it's a very steep hill, and at about halfway up the hill on the way back you can see the gate again. On the way back up we saw a guy coming into the park with three dogs, two mixes and a husky whose butt looked an awful lot like Snoopy's.

My initial reaction was, "Oh hey, look another husky."

But then the guy only came in with the two dogs and the husky turned and I saw his floppy ears I freaked out. "Oh crap, that's Snoopy. HOW DID HE GET OUT OF THE CAR OH MY GOD GRAB THAT HUSKY!" And my sister and I sprinted up the hill while I was yelling like a crazy woman and the poor guy looked so confused and Snoopy just pranced and paced in front of the gate like, "How could you leeeave meee?! Let me iiin!" Turns out when my boyfriend shut the passenger door the seat belt was in the way so the door didn't latch.

I was so proud of him for not running away, especially because the dog park is in a wilderness area with a creek and lots of wild critters and everything and he was wearing his walking collar and that doesn't have a tag on it, or attacking anybody's dogs.

I had planned on just walking Snoopy around the outside of the park but since we didn't have any mishaps I figured he'd be okay and let him in. He did great, he mostly just walked around and watched everybody else play but he wasn't an asshole. He's learning Very Happy
