Forum Rules | 1. Here we prefer clarity to agreement. Obviously not everyone is going to agree on a topic; here we prefer to talk out our differences in a respectful manner to ensure mutual understanding and respect. 2. Read the Stickies and Announcements. Each sub-forum may have specific rules which trump the Forum Rules in cases where there may be conflicting information. Read the rules of each board before you post so that you are clear on the expectations of the staff. 3. Respect ALL Staff and Admins. These people volunteer of their time and MUST be respected as well as their word adhered to. They are responsible for maintaining a free, open, clear and organized forum. Anyone found to be openly undermining any official ruling by a staff member will be warned. 4. Signatures: One picture only and no links. Images: To keep the forum looking neat and tidy, we ask that members insert just one picture only in their signatures. The picture should be no more than 200x500 pixels and should be of an appropriate subject, for example, your dogs and their names. Should you need assistance creating an appropriate signature, please PM an Admin and we would be happy to help! This is to ensure that signatures remain a welcome addition to our forum instead of a cumbersome distraction. Links: Hyperlinks in signatures--unless to a personal blog or photo stream of your dogs (like Flckr or Piscasa, for example)--are strictly prohibited. Please PM a staff member with any questions or concerns regarding this rule. |

- We might have, I'm so busy these days I have a hard time remembering what I ate for lunch, never mind all the threads I'm trying to keep up with.
I'm actually still in, but I got permanently grounded on a medical, got a crappy eval because of it, and now will likely not screen for O-4. I have 2 more looks after this year, and when I don't make it in that 2015 board the Navy will tell me to have a nice life. I'm trying desperately to stay on at the Academy as a military professor, but that is O-4 minimum. I have a lot of very senior officers who are frustrated about that, so we'll see. I have a couple years, but I'm starting to explore my options. Oh, and the first 4 of my years is Academy, so technically active but only counts after you hit 20. Sorry to hold a conversation off topic. We should "get a room!" Haha. But I hope it all works out for you. I had a good time during my 4 years in the Navy. |

- Ive always assumed majority of dog parks were more like our fairly self-monitoring system. Is this not true?
I know the dog park here in Oak Harbor is part of our tax-supported District ran parks (which also runs the pool that I work at, so I work for the guy that is in charge of the dog parks lol.) Its "free" in a sense that its paid for through taxes. - Quote :
- Before the guy shot the dog he also tazered it and didn't give the owner a chance to get their dogs separated before he opened fire
This is why I don't allow my husband to carry at the dog park. He's not used to dog playing of any kind, so he freaks out when Karli acts all submissive (and she's ALWAYS submitting lol.) He gets worried that the dogs are hurting her. I have to keep telling him that her tail is still waving so she's fine. |
