| I like the name and good for thinking ahead.
We got Loki and picked his name out too quick. Now we aren't sure we like it for a few reasons: lots of dogs with that name (especailly huskies for some reason), too close to lexi our female dog, and too many people think it is from the Loki in Avengers. Boo. Thinking of changing his name, but don't want to screw up his little head. |

| Jen, I was thinking that would be the registered name Qudos The Godfather or Qudos An Offer You Can't Refuse

| Ha! I LOVE it! Both Qudos The Godfather or Qudos An Offer You Can't Refuse are such great ideas!
I think you could change his name. Think about all the rescues that have their names changed. He would get used to it, might give you funny looks for a while, but he would learn it pretty quick. :)I like the name Loki, but I don't like how popular it is either. |

Coming from someone who has three teenagers in her house, my advice to you would be to wait. Now let me say - Link is 18 months old an an ABSOLUTE NUTBALL. This dog can walk miles, take a 2 minute nap, and be ready to run from New York to California. The only reason I have three is because Cloud is an eskimo, and was already trained to the point I wanted him to be when I added in Yuki, and Yuki is very laid-back and not as energetic as normal huskies which is why I can handle Link in the mix. Yuki may still hit her teenage years, honestly she may always be this calm but if she does hit a teenage streak I am prepared for it. I only work 20 hours a week, Link and I take morning walks, we go on potty breaks and play on 50ft lines individually a bit throughout the day, play some games inside, all of them go to the park in the evening, and Link bikejores at night. It seems to work for us since the other two are lazy, but another thing you would have to account for is exercising two pups, Link is old enough to bikejore so that helps to get a lot of his energy out but he's 18 months, and Yuki won't start bikejoring until 18 months. You would have to do mental stimulation and entertain them in some other ways until they're old enough to do more strenuous exercise. Which if I had two Link's, both being too young for strenuous activity, there's no way I could do it. |

| Those will be some cute puppies!! Only a couple of things that I noticed. The father was born in 04, so that puts him at 9 years – is there an age where they should stop breeding males? I know there’s only so many litters a female should have, but I’m not sure if there’s an equivalent for the males… The other thing is that they are pro-debarking. This is entirely a personal preference. They only *might* do it to a show potential puppy they are thinking of keeping, but personally, that’s a bit of a turn off. Other than that, I hope you get a pup! |

| I noticed that too, but I was guessing it was an insemination breeding, I could be wrong though. I know a lot of breeders will do that with some of there best stock. |

| Beautiful dogs! This is so exciting! I hope you get a puppy!
I still occasionally think about getting another puppy (yeah I know, crazy) when Mishka is a little older. I wouldn't even know where to start trying to find a good breeder near me though. _________________ |

| I've also contacted Trillium Blue Siberians in GA. She said she has a planned breeding although I am not sure who they have planned/bred yet. Does anyone have any insight into this breeder? http://trilliumblue.us/trillium/
Ashleigh- I don't know where in LA you live but I live in NE MS right now. I don't know which breeder I will buy from yet as I'm waiting to get all the information but I will either be driving up to Kansas City (which is near where my family lives in MO, so it is convienent) for the previous litter I listed or over to GA for a pup from Trillium Blue. I would say if you were ready by then I could pick your pup up for you but I think that may be a bit too early, huh? LOL :)Where did you get Mishka?
If I get a pup with really good traits and disposition I am toying with the idea of showing her. Do they still allow you to show dogs that are fixed?

| I have heard of trilium. They have some nice dogs. My breeder is having a litter You should check into it, although I'm sure it's a bit of a drive!! They will be ready for the SHCA nationals, though. It could be a fun road trip! |

| You can show fixed dogs in the UKC altered class. The akc doesn't allow it yet. I'm already thinking of my next one too lol. Obviously not gonna happen for at least a few years, but it seems to be something a lot of puppy owners go through. Dizzy has gotten over a lot of the awful wild animal puppy behaviors, and now I feel pretty good about his progress, and I'm looking for the next one lol. I might end up showing Dizzy in altered, I'm still waiting for his second testicle to drop. If it doesn't by the time he's a year old, I'll get him fixed and do the altered class. We had our first breed handling class last night and its tough! A lot harder than it looks, but a lot of fun. |

They were on my list of possibles, but going by the AKC website and the parent club they have no one of merit who actually breeds in my state. Lol. I don't mind driving! I just don't know how far of a drive I could handle. I got Mishka from a breeder in Arkansas. While I liked them, there are a few things I found out after I got Mishka that I wasn't too happy about. Nothing too major but the lack of socialization and the pups not staying with the mom long enough didn't sit well with me. I may even consider adopting an older retired show dog or something from a breeder instead of a puppy. Only time will tell though. Oh yes ma'am, that is WAAAAY too soon for me. Lol. But thank you for the offer. _________________ |

| I show in UKC altered right now - at this moment AKC only allows altered veterans. I am sure that will change eventually when they realize they can make more money. |

| I wish they would change it. I mean, I kind of understand why they do it (If your dog is a champion they want to breed him/her) but at the same time there are sooo many fantastic dogs out there that can not show b/c they are fixed. |

| Well, the point they are trying to make is that conformation is supposed to exist to evaluate breeding stock. If a dog is not able to reproduce, they do not qualify. I don't agree with it, but what can you do?
I just show in UKC instead and feel great when Cato wins. |

| Well, the original point of confirmation showing was to evaluate breeding stock. Now, people want to participate for recreational reasons and fun, along with the serious hobby breeder, and the official kennels. I think they are sticking to that old school view. Plus imagine the disappointment of a serious breeder when they see an absolutely awesome dog in the ring that's altered, I'm sure its at least a feeling of 'too bad' *Wrote this during the previous post... Sorry for the repeat of info. |

| Well, I'd like to think they think those things...But most people can be quite catty. It's frustrating, but if you enjoy the sport you get past it. I love it; I don't care what anyone has to say about me in the ring. I know my dog is a pretty darn good looking guy and that he loves doing it. That is motivation enough. |

| My breeder gave me the best advice when it comes to the cattiness. "Everybody is nice to you until you start winning." That's pretty much all I need to know lol. I met Ceara (Mectha's mom) at a show a few weeks ago, and they really turn their noses up at her dog. She is very different looking, but I personally think she's gorgeous, she was only 6 months old at the time, so she has a lot of maturing to do, but I think once she fills out, she'll be quite nice. |

| I know Ceara and her dogs quite well. She's a good friend.
People tend to reject what they don't know; dog shows are no exception. It is pretty true, but there are a few people in my area who just like you be honest. There aren't enough honest people in the show world - or the breeding world. |
