Not sure if I am allowed to do this ( mods please smack me if I can't) but Prince William County in VA is trying to build a dog park. All the funds have been raisied. The site just needs to be cleaned up ready to put in the fence. This Saturday the 26th at 9AM we will be meeting at the site to rake, dig, and generally just tear stuff up. I am not part of the PWCDOGS but I am volunteering to help get it up and running. If you can help I'm sure the community and your dogs will appreciate. Hopefully I'll see you there. And lets hope we don't get too much snow today to put this off a week. If they cancel due to weather I will update.

Oh that's awesome! Price William County needs a dog park BADLY! A lot of Woodbridge people come all the way down to my dog park just so their dog's can play, which is like a 20 minute commute if not more for some.

Are they doing another meet like this in the next few weekends? I know this weekend I'm not going to be able to come, but would love to help out after this weekend.

I'm pretty sure that they will have a lot of meet ups . There is a lot of work that needs to be done. They just haven't put out a schedule but I'll be more then happy to update when they do meet. The more people that help the sooner the park can open.

Well today was very fruitful. About 15 people showed up and after 3 hours all that was set out to be accomplished was and more. Over the next couple weeks Hercules fence will install the fence. After it is up there will be another meet up. The goal is to have the dog park opened in a couple months. Very excited .....and sore lol

Looks like they are having another meetup this Saturday in Woodbridge to get it ready for the fencing coming in on Monday. Unfortunatly this weekend I have to work so I will not be there but I'm sending my fiance . If anyone can help out this weekend, I know it will truly be appreciated.

Hooray it has been a long time coming but tomorrow at 11 am the prince William county dogpark is opening. Please come for those who are nearby and help us celebrate and have fun. Loki and I will be there from 11 to about 1.
