Obviously not everyone is going to agree on a topic; here we prefer to talk out our differences in a respectful manner to ensure mutual understanding and respect. 2. Read the Stickies and Announcements. Each sub-forum may have specific rules which trump the Forum Rules in cases where there may be conflicting information. Read the rules of each board before you post so that you are clear on the expectations of the staff. 3. Respect ALL Staff and Admins. These people volunteer of their time and MUST be respected as well as their word adhered to. They are responsible for maintaining a free, open, clear and organized forum. Anyone found to be openly undermining any official ruling by a staff member will be warned. 4. Signatures: One picture only and no links. Images: To keep the forum looking neat and tidy, we ask that members insert just one picture only in their signatures. Should you need assistance creating an appropriate signature, please PM an Admin and we would be happy to help! Dizzy is beautiful Jen, congrats. So glad that you finally have your "when I get my" puppy!
Can't wait to see how that dynamic face changes

Ha ha! Thanks Jeff. Today he started responding to his name, and in the last couple days learned 'off' woo hoo!

Haha, that's a good one. Not as good as "leave it" though in the early ADD everything-that-moves-or-exists-outside must be investigated phase

Same difference for him. It translates to: drop, spit out, walk away from, get your paws off, or stop fixating... We're still working on the fixation one.

Part herding dog? Part retriever? Dizzy has a couple of silly behaviors that seem so un-husky to me two I'm trying to break him of, and one I'm encouraging. So, first, he's at that point where he hasn't had enough shots to meet dogs I'm not totally sure have been vaccinated, so I don't let him meet every dog he sees. But he desperately wants to play and whenever we see another dog he lays down and waits until they are a foot or two away and then springs up after them. I either have to carry him or drag him along the sidewalk to keep him from doing it. It reminds me of a boarder collie herding sheep. The other herding like behavior is that sometimes he walks behind me and nips at my heels. The one I like, is that he seems to like to retrieve. He carries things around all the time and if he finds a stick or something he likes on the walk, he'll carry it all the way home. Our family had a golden puppy when I was little and I remember him doing that, my first husky never did. Its adorable. Day before yesterday, he was trying to hide a beef rib bone left over from his lunch and was wandering all around the apartment looking for a place to stash it. Super adorable, but I made sure to pick it up once he hid it as it still had some meat on it. Then yesterday, he went back to his hiding spot and it wasn't there. He was quite annoyed. They are funny animals.

He's growing so fast! I'm really loving his head. I hope he keeps his mask

Yeah, the little monster is changing so fast! His mask was really strong when he was really little, then faded, but now, its getting darker again. We'll see how it changes as he grows.

Do you have a photo album for sky? I'd love to see how he's developed.

Well, he cut his paw open on a piece of glass on the sidewalk. Getting bandaged and wearing the cone was far more traumatic then the actual cut ha ha! Poor guy is depressed and pissed ha ha.
