2. Read the Stickies and Announcements. Each sub-forum may have specific rules which trump the Forum Rules in cases where there may be conflicting information. Read the rules of each board before you post so that you are clear on the expectations of the staff.
3. Respect ALL Staff and Admins. These people volunteer of their time and MUST be respected as well as their word adhered to. They are responsible for maintaining a free, open, clear and organized forum. Anyone found to be openly undermining any official ruling by a staff member will be warned.

Should you need assistance creating an appropriate signature, please PM an Admin and we would be happy to help! This is to ensure that signatures remain a welcome addition to our forum instead of a cumbersome distraction. I started feeding THK a few days ago, the kibble I had him on was giving him the squirts really badly. He usually waits until he is outside his crate to go poo, but he just couldn't hold it because it was that bad and liquidy. So I bought some THK, he was doing very well on it, stools were nice and firm. Last night I noticed that his stools have become soft again and it looks like the THK is all there in his poo still. It looked the same way it went in.

Did you switch cold turkey or did you ease him into it?

I would try adding some canned pumpkin to the THK for a little while and see how that helps. Pumpkin is great as a natural regulator of digestion. It's cheap too; you can find it in the grocery store Smile

The Honest Kitchen is supposed to be high quality freeze-dried raw, so it shouldn't really be messing with his tummy, but switching foods can cause problems.

If after a couple of weeks, he is still doing this, I would take him to the vet to make sure he doesn't have worms or anything.

I was told it was okay to switch him cold turkey on it. I should get a vet appt set up just in case. He was diagnosed with coccidia couple of weeks ago.

Since it's raw, it's probably better than most things to switch him cold turkey, but huskies have terribly sensitive stomachs, so I wouldn't be surprised. In general, I always advise to ease a dog into a new food, especially huskies.

An appointment with your vet is probably a good call, especially if he was diagnosed with coccidia... they may still be causing issues and he might have to go back on medication.

Let us know how it goes!
