Forum Rules
1. Here we prefer clarity to agreement. Obviously not everyone is going to agree on a topic; here we prefer to talk out our differences in a respectful manner to ensure mutual understanding and respect.
2. Read the Stickies and Announcements. Each sub-forum may have specific rules which trump the Forum Rules in cases where there may be conflicting information. Read the rules of each board before you post so that you are clear on the expectations of the staff.
3. Respect ALL Staff and Admins. These people volunteer of their time and MUST be respected as well as their word adhered to. They are responsible for maintaining a free, open, clear and organized forum. Anyone found to be openly undermining any official ruling by a staff member will be warned.
4. Signatures: One picture only and no links. Images: To keep the forum looking neat and tidy, we ask that members insert just one picture only in their signatures. The picture should be no more than 200x500 pixels and should be of an appropriate subject, for example, your dogs and their names. Should you need assistance creating an appropriate signature, please PM an Admin and we would be happy to help! This is to ensure that signatures remain a welcome addition to our forum instead of a cumbersome distraction. Links: Hyperlinks in signatures--unless to a personal blog or photo stream of your dogs (like Flckr or Piscasa, for example)--are strictly prohibited. Please PM a staff member with any questions or concerns regarding this rule.

PostSubject: Re: Dognappers...this is getting out of hand   Dognappers...this is getting out of hand - Page 2 EmptyFri Mar 15, 2013 10:37 pm

I lied to a guy at our dog park. he was not there with a dog and me and my friend are pretty sure he was waiting on a drug deal to happen. Now That makes our dog park sounds sketchy but it's only weird When it starts to get dark. Before they made it into a dog park it had a bad rep. I make a point of never going There by myself near dusk. I went with a friend when it was getting dark out (he has a big German Shepherd and a lab) and we were the only ones there. And this creepy guy shows up and stares at from a distance. Eventually he walked over and just stood there and stared at us close up While the dogs played. My friend tried asking how he was doing but the guy continued to stare and not say anything. Finally he looks at me and says is that a Siberian Husky? And at that point I was pretty creeped out by him so I him no she was a husky border collie mix. And then he stared for a little while longer and said "doesn't look like it" And walked off. We left about 10 minutes later and the guy was still Hanging around the entrance to the dog park. The weird thing is that he didn't care about my friends GSD or lab At all. Other than that we haven't had anything too weird happen.

I'll be glad when kibas spayed next Friday for the same reason. I think saying "she's female but fixed" isn't offensive if someone's just purely curious with no ill intent but its also off-putting for people who want puppies. I think most people genuinely want to pet her or are curious but it doesn't hurt to be cautious
