| How do I keep Peaches from eating EVERYTHING! I had to throw away a couple toys because she was pulling the "hair" off and eating it. Every time I take her outside she tries to eat sticks, leaves, grass, dirt and anything else she can find. Is this normal or is she just special? lol! |

| Sounds like she's mouthy...they really like to chew. I let Karli chew on the sticks in the yard because well they're just sticks. Are you sure she's ingesting everything she's putting in her mouth? Karli really loved chewing on squeaker toys and frozen wash cloths. Try offering the wash cloths and see if that helps any. |

| Totally normal. Almost all puppies forage. With Crispin we thought it would never end.
If she's eating things she shouldn't be all you can do is be vigilant, body block so she can't get them, and work on reliable "leave it" and "drop it" commands. Crispin used to eat wood chips and we thought it was okay at first, but then he started vomiting them back up so we had to become more careful. |

| Thank you! We try to watch her really close when she is around something she can eat. I've been working on drop it, she is doing ok with that. Yes, she is very mouthy, she is always trying to chew on my daughter's clothing, arms and legs. I'm working hard on breaking her of that but so far we aren't having much luck. |

| Hang in there. It's an uphill battle to teach a dog that it's mouth isn't always the right tool because it's their equivalent to a hand. From what I gather huskies tend to be mouthy in general, but in my experience it's even worse during teething. We used frozen wash cloths, crushed ice, and durable teething chews to make it through that phase.
If you're already working on"drop it" and "leave it" there's little else to be done at this point other than being consistent. |

| Thanks for the advice Drew. Really hoping it's just a baby, teething phase. |

| completely normal for a puppy. They explore with their mouths! They want to put everything in there lol. I still do a sweep of my home before I go to bed (Balon ate a shipping bag and ended up with xrays) since he's no longer crated at night. He still likes to "taste" everything lol. It's easier for me to just make sure nothing is left out that he can get to that could hurt him. Even though he's over 1 year old now, he still does it sometimes! Still a big puppy! |

| Lucian was the same way. He even ate a pink crayon. Anything in the yard was fair game to him, sticks, grass, pebbles, and a few other things I can't think of at the moment. He'd grab ANYTHING! But it does pass eventually. He still likes to chew on sticks, but he doesn't eat them. |

| We aren't going to mulch our garden this year because Lola likes to chew on it. The other day she tried to eat a walnut. She tries to eat birdseed from the ground. She's over a year now and she doesn't grab as much as she did before but we still keep an eye out.
I hope we don't get locust this year! She would probably try hunt, kill and eat them. |

| The worst is cicada season. Last year Loki ate so many of them I thought he would get sick. He also loves acorns but they give him horrible gas and even if I look and pickthem all up he finds one. I don't have a wood pile in the backyard I just have branches and logs all over because he pulls them around to chew on. |
