Every morning when I go to work I put up the baby gate that separates the living room from the kitchen. The kitchen has the back door with the doggie door and Nanook is free to go in and out. Well I got home today and he was in the living room. I am 100% positive I put him in the kitchen so he must have climbed the gate, I should get a video camera and film him while I am gone, I would love to see how he does it!. The escape artist is starting young LOL..The good thing is he did not have any accidents in there on the carpet which makes him accident free for 5 days!

Yayyy to no accidents! I wish I was that lucky there.. we still have accidents almost every day, ugh I don't know what your baby gate looks like but mine is a wooden one and it doesn't go down to the floor all the way and Selena sticks her head underneath it to try and go under it...she hasn't actually managed to get her body under, yet lol. And might I add she has started to climb the 4 foot chain link fence

Nice! I went for a good no accident streak until today it was mainly my fault for not paying attention to him, but oh well. How tall is your gate?

I guess it is about 3 feet tall. We were just outback playing and adding to his climbing skills the boy has quite a jump too. I think we are in trouble!!

You can double up baby gates if you need to. My fence is 8 feet tall on one side and six feet with a one foot leaner into the yard. Lola can jump like crazy.

Good idea! Hopefully we just will not have to use the gates for long. My husband was so excited when I quit doing home daycare last month because we took down all the baby gates, so ihe was less then thrilled when he realized I was pulling them out for the pup LOL..but you do what you have to do.

Good luck! Our first husky climbed as well as any cat! After he ate through a chain link kennel, And dug under the fence, we tried locking him in a horse stall with a concrete floor and 6 foot wooden walls. And the bugger climbed right over. Watched him do it as we couldn't figure out he was escaping the first few times. Huskies are regular Houdinis when they set their minds to it. Pretty sure we spent months of our life chasing that dog, and swore we would never get another one! Gluttons for punishment I guess...
