2. Read the Stickies and Announcements. Each sub-forum may have specific rules which trump the Forum Rules in cases where there may be conflicting information. Read the rules of each board before you post so that you are clear on the expectations of the staff.
3. Respect ALL Staff and Admins. These people volunteer of their time and MUST be respected as well as their word adhered to. They are responsible for maintaining a free, open, clear and organized forum. Anyone found to be openly undermining any official ruling by a staff member will be warned.

Hi there! My name is Andrea and I own an 11 week old siberian husky born on Christmas day.
I've had other dogs in the past, but this is my first husky! She's already a handful (in a very good way) so I'm happy to have found this forum. Very Happy Very Happy

This is Zoey: https://2img.net/h/oi45.tinypic.com/2hga6pu.jpg

Welcome! I'm to the west of you in Northern Maine! We've had quite a good winter too and still have quite a bit of snow on the ground, although it's been in the upper 30's to 40 the past few days and we're getting rain monday night and all day Tuesday so I'm sure that's going to start washing most of our snow away! My little guy loves the snow and just tries eating leaves or pine needles if he sees them peeking through the snow so hopefully once they are everywhere, he doesn't drive me nuts eating everything outside! LOL

Zoey eats the pine needles and leaves too! I know that some plants (like my christmas cactus, eep!) can be very poisonous to dogs, do you know if pine needles are? I get worried. >.< Haha.

Since Pine needles can be boiled in water and you can make Vit C tea in a survival situation, I don't think they'd be dangerous in small amounts here and there when we don't catch it. I know he's going to just drive me nuts once all the snow melts and there is all that "yummy" stuff he finds! LOL My guy is 9 1/2 weeks so still into eating anything!
