| Today is 3/3 - National Tripawd Day - for our furry, 3 legged amputees..... does this group have any??? If so, let's celebrate their greatness and strength - and post some pics and their story as a tribute to them and our love of our babies.

| I lost my baby Christy to osteosarcoma - in 2/12 - she was a tripawd for about 1.5 yrs before I lost her. She was only 10. A slight limp in her left front leg was the first symptom. I thought she broke her ankle. I wish that was all it had been. Unfortunatley not. I was bone cancer. The amputation followed shortly thereafter. She recovered like a rock star - never a complaint!!
She had been wild in Michigan for years before a friend of mine rescued her - and then she rescued me when my friend gave her to me. She was my heart and the daughter I never had. My heart breaks every day missing her. RIP my beautiful girl - I will see you over the bridge. Run free and happy until that time. |

| I once came very close to adopting a tripod back when I was working at the humane society around here. I have a thing for animals with "disabilities" I think... I also want to adopt a cryptic merle Aussie at some point.. lol _________________ Force Free Training ThreadCheyenne, Mishka, Mickey, Rodeo, & Odin Are you a Husky owner in South Florida?! | Linda and John - where is this baby??? what happened to his leg??? they do great on 3 legs- dont let that stop you!!
Keeva - good luck with Chase - he looks awesome!!!
Kristina - I have the same "thing" but alot of people want to help it seems - they get snatched up quickly the ones with disabilities.
thanks for the contributions!!!! people need to be aware that these are not dogs to be pitied or feel sorry for them (except the illness part if that applies) - they are just 3 legged dogs- almost no different that the 4 legged ones!!!! |

The baby is in Springfield, Mo I provide the link that talked about adopting him. They don't know what happen to the leg a birth defect or and accident maybe. I guess I should sign my name Linda being John really doesn't post here. |
