| She's gotten so big!! I wouldn't bet on her stopping her upward growth just yet. She's only 9 months and they honestly grow up to 2 years old. She'll stop for a while now and get another growth spurt around 15 months or so, then she'll fill out until about 2 years old. She's going to be a big girl!! _________________ www.itsahuskything.com It's a husky thing... you wouldn't understand. |

| really? well thats fine with us she has just slowed down a lot! I have switched her food to Blue Buffalo and she loves it!! We are gonna get a quote on fencing our new back yard in with our new house so she can get more exercise!! She goes with us on a 2 mile walk sometimes in teh evenings and it wears her out for a little bit then she is up and ready to go again! LOL |

| Yup Huskies have a funny growth cycle-- like I said, steady until about 10 months, then it stops for a while until another spurt around 15 months, then they fill out closer to 2 years, give or take a few months for each. Every dog is obviously different though People told me the same thing and I didn't believe them, as we thought because of how much he'd slowed down that he wouldn't grow anymore... but sure enough, at 15-18 months old he shot up again. He's finally full-grown at 60 lbs. Hailey is full-grown at about 45 lbs. _________________ www.itsahuskything.com It's a husky thing... you wouldn't understand. |

| Cant wait for the fence so we can let the Huskies run and play in a bigger area more often. |

| She's looking really good! Nanuk & Isis also had growth spurts around 2 years old. Mika was past that when we got her. Glad to hear about the fencing. It does make a difference when they get to run often, but Sniper will still want the walks! |

| She's filled out quite nicely! From the first picture, it looks like that white band only goes around part of the neck? Love those markings. |

| yea its easier for me to upload pics to my FB than here...and thanks! we love our new home! she has plenty of yard!!! we are trying to decide on under ground electric fence or fencing in part of the yard...hard decisions. I worry about the electric not holding her. or her getting out and not wanting to cross back in after she has been shocked once! i love looking @ your pics on FB of jack and sierra! they are beautiful! and i am glad we chose this breed. she has a BIG heart and we love her! even after the 2 surgeries! |

| I would go with fencing off whatever part of the yard you can afford over electric fencing hands down. Sniper doesn't strike me as the type to obey an electric fence and they generally DO NOT work on huskies... so I wouldn't take the chance that she were in the low percentage of dogs in the breed that might be fine.
I would fence off what you can and add to it as time moves on. Just my $.02 _________________ www.itsahuskything.com It's a husky thing... you wouldn't understand. |

| Nice job on reaching a year Sniper! We were pulling for you, crazy sled dog. She still has that "look" in her eyes in that tennis ball picture. I recommend a solid granite wall for a fence.
Just a side question; what makes uploading to FB so much easier? |

| FB is easier cause you can pick a ton a pics at once and it loads it in and then you can move the order around and add captions. on here you have to up load to another site then copy the code then past it in write something and do it over and over or if you take it off your desktop or camera you have to do the same thing on the upload button, it just take FOREVER!!! that is one thing i wish we could fix on here i think we would get more pics posted if it did not take so much work. _________________ |

| yea all i do is take a pic with my cell and email it to my FB!! and BAM there it is!! :-) thanks everyone! cant believe we made it to 1 year! she is blowing her coat for the first time now! almost done though i think! the hair has gotten worse then now its not as bad! We will have to settle for her 10X10 lot in the evenings for free run time until we can afford a fenced in yard... |

| She is looking so good! I can relate with you on the two surgeries, too! But they are so worth it when they snuggle up to you and give kisses, aren't they? I agree with you on uploading to FB. I love taking a pic from the cell and sending it directly to the site. Verizon has PIX PLACE, too, so I can send there in a flash, too. It isn't too bad on here, tho. If you make the pixels smaller on the image, it uploads in no time at all. Glad Sniper made it to 1 year. Now you can look forward to working your way to the terrible twos! |
