Forum Rules
1. Here we prefer clarity to agreement. Obviously not everyone is going to agree on a topic; here we prefer to talk out our differences in a respectful manner to ensure mutual understanding and respect.
2. Read the Stickies and Announcements. Each sub-forum may have specific rules which trump the Forum Rules in cases where there may be conflicting information. Read the rules of each board before you post so that you are clear on the expectations of the staff.
3. Respect ALL Staff and Admins. These people volunteer of their time and MUST be respected as well as their word adhered to. They are responsible for maintaining a free, open, clear and organized forum. Anyone found to be openly undermining any official ruling by a staff member will be warned.
4. Signatures: One picture only and no links. Images: To keep the forum looking neat and tidy, we ask that members insert just one picture only in their signatures. The picture should be no more than 200x500 pixels and should be of an appropriate subject, for example, your dogs and their names. Should you need assistance creating an appropriate signature, please PM an Admin and we would be happy to help! This is to ensure that signatures remain a welcome addition to our forum instead of a cumbersome distraction. Alright, we've had some disagreements here, but PLEASE knock it off with the negative treats. It is NOT a dislike button and only used for something that is blatantly incorrect. It is not something to note that you don't like someone else's opinion.

Yes, the puppy is young and what's done is done. Let's all leave it at that, but understand that you are going to have a challenge to properly socialize. I think that's all Jennet was trying to get at.

She's gorgeous! I love her mask and those little fluffy ears Smile

If you take her to puppy kindergarden right away (about $100 for 4 weeks at an animal shelter) you can easily gain some puppy to puppy socialization. I might be getting my puppy at 7 weeks, and thats what I plan to do.

I second the puppy kindergarten, and Ghost did really well with it. I will caution you though to wait until Willow has at least had her Parvo shot. I know at our Petsmart, where we did obedience training, someone brought in a pup with Parvo and contaminated the entire store. In the meantime, if you have friends whose dogs are fully vaccinated, that is an excellent option for socialization. Good luck, and she really is adorable Smile

thank you! I am already socializing her with a friends dog, my grandmas dog & my parents dog. all of which are 100% up to date on their shots. I knew what I was getting into getting a pup a week early. so I am already doing everything I can so far. I am planning on signing her up for classes as soon as I can as well.

Sounds like you're doing everything right then, keep it up! Be ready for some biting issues, but hopefully the early socialization will help nip that in the bud.
