The one time I tried to give Diz duck, he turned his nose up at it for days. So now when he stalks ducks on the walk I say, "Well, I'd let you get it, but you don't even like duck. So..." I'm pretty sure he understands english.

Thanks! I was pretty blown away by that picture. Someone took it on a really expensive pro camera which is why it looks so sharp and vivid and detailed. I love that one.

He is beautiful indeed, and now that he's settled down and sort of on the last leg of his adolescence he's a charming, affectionate, sweetheart as well. He's a real joy to be around these days and he's loving life.

Link is so gorgeous - are you considering a portrait from the avatar pic? There are so many layers of expression in that one...

Funny you mention that Amy, just two days ago a guy in a local pet store gave us his card and he specializes in pet portraits. I hadn't really considered it but if I do that pic would be in the running for sure.

What a beautiful boy Jeff, I have a penchant for the lighter colored husky. It's amazing how they calm down so much after about a year and a half, thank goodness.

Link is such a stunning boy, I was never a fan of open masks but he has converted me he just has the most honest lovely expressions. You must be very proud of how he has grown into himself, so very defined and everything a male husky should be

In my mind I always think of a classic Husky as a black and white with the white eyebrows, just like Orion, Korra, Ares, etc.  

These days I'm all about greys and then reds though.  I like the open faced greys but my ideal 2nd Husky would be a red with a mask, bar, and amber/greenish eyes.  

Link looks just like his momma and his brother who's showing, but he's got his dad's, who's a sled dog now that he isn't showing, build in the rear.  

He's blowing coat right now so his thicker winter coat will mature his look even more.  Can't wait.

Many people think of the black and whites as the classic husky but the grey's have always appealed to me they come across as very regal. I totally understand where you are coming from with the reds, this is Orion's sister - we tossed up between her and Orion, my next will hopefully be a red bitch.

Bingo! She is what I want, exactly.

Stunning isn't she. She is a NZ Champion in show and currently working towards her sled title. Her colouring is purely their sire's (Orion took after the grandsire) so I am either looking at waiting to get a bitch out of her or depending on the timeline I may look at a litter sired by Trucker (their dad) planned for end of next year. Trucker is Kristari, they have some really prominent red lines

Gorgeous, he certainly did take after his mum in looks . Orion and Link share quite a few dogs in their pedigree. Orion's Grandsire on his sire's side is Kristaris Firechief O Tahluu and his Grandsire on his dams side is Innisfrees Chips Ahoy - both sire and dam were from AI litters.

Thanks Amy, but haha, nope. No relations for a whole pedigree.  Their structural similarities are in color, the head, ear set, and muzzle area mostly.  Pretty different bodies otherwise.  

They are brothers from another mother.  But Jen and I are psychically bonded as long distance soul mates so it is no coincidence that our dogs are similar

I think Link's closest relative on the forum is Orion (Olivia) and he has a few relatives in common with Layla (Liz) and Keegan (Lani) if I remember correctly.

No matter - they are both beautiful dogs. The silvers are so pretty and the brown eyes so warm...gotta watch it, the potato chip phenomenon is starting to rise again
