So the neighbors on each side of us have little yappy dogs. The one side isn't too bad, they only have two, one of which is Bode's little French Bulldog girlfriend. The other side has 3-5 (I'm not sure because they're never all out at once) yappy Puggle type dogs. They bark at EVERYTHING. If Bode is out in the yard and they are out, they are constantly barking at him. He just stands and stares at them like they're crazy. LOL.

So anyways, here's my dilemma, if you will. They are LOUD. And they only start barking once MY dog is out in our yard, behaving and minding his own business. Yet I feel responsible that they are being loud since my dog is the one triggering it. Silly, I know. I feel like any time their dogs are out, I shouldn't let Bode out for the sake of all our neighborhood. Has anyone else dealt with something like this?

The apartment across the way from me has an old, fat beagle that starts barking everytime I take Pippa out. His barking triggers the happy dog above them, which starts the one next to them...and so on.

And I couldn't care less! I figure it's their problem they all have such reactive dogs.

I have the same problem. our neighbors have 2 lhasa's. One is just a pup and friendly, the other though, i have no words to describe how much i dislike this dog.

his owners tie him out from their back door, and from there he can reach our fence and as soon as he hears us turn the door handle he rushes the fence and doesn't stop barking and growling the entire time my dogs our outside. he even goes so far as to growl and rush at us if he is out and we are walking on the outside of our fence. it doesn't so much bother the huskies, but my akita is not a fan of being rushed at or barked at. it just sets her off and she is tense and pissy the entire time she is outside. he is lucky he has a smooshed in face that can't fit between the fence slates, otherwise i am sure Izzy would have dealt with him a long time ago, and to be honest, i think i might have just turned my back, he is that evil. they can't put him anywhere else because then he is in within reach of the sidewalk and their mailbox and does rush anyone he sees in a not friendly manner.

our other neighbors use to have an english bulldog, a lab/coon mix and a malamute/lab/husky...and at one point another husky ( he manged to get out of their yard and got hit ) our dogs loved their husky and their mal mix is just laid back and didn't do much, but the other 2 were also fence rushers and that just wasnt fun because my husband let them use the side of our fence for their fence, so it was nothing but constant barking and it even lead izzy to re direct on keno a couple times. but they have moved and we are thinking of re doing the fencing and hoping any new neighbors have no dogs or decent dogs.

that or i can't wait to move so we have land and no neighbors to deal with

Karli and I get barked at every day when we go for a walk. There is a sheltie across the playground from us who is always outside and he just barks and barks and barks. I feel bad too because the dogs always end up getting yelled at for barking at us and I feel responsible but there isn't a time of day when there are no dogs outside.

My friend's dog barks at us too but when her neighbor dog tries to join in she turns around and barks at it to let it know only SHE can bark at us lol.

Both of my back neighbors dogs bark at mine while my girls just stare, lol. But our whole neighborhood has yappy dogs so it doesn't really matter.

The street I live on is lined with dogs that are purely outside dogs.

One house has 8 Pomeranians (I KNOOOW!!!), another has one shih tzu, another has a coonhound mix and a chi mix, and another house has a golden retrevier that is outside on an invisible fence, and then the last house has a border collie that literally roams the whole town and a little cairn terrier.

I usually avoid this street at all costs. Sometimes I forget and I turn to go down my road and instantly regret it. The shih tzu starts in first and he starts when we are about a block away. Then the poms start right after he does and they just go INSANE! It is honestly the worst and most deafening noise EVER. Then the coonhound and the chi start in. The kicker is that when the hound starts, his owners come out and hit him and yell at him. I have called the cops numerous times, but they will not do anything about it, so mostly I avoid this street for his sake . After I pass the hound house, the golden rushes her fence line and growls and barks. She is a sweetheart and she has played with my dogs before, but it's just what she does. Then the collie barks at us and follows us home, while the terrier is rushing the fence line going back and forth following us.
It sucks, hardcore.

So for MY sake, I avoid the street. If it makes you or your dog stressed out, I suggest you don't go outside while they are. I get stressed out and I know my dogs can sense it, so I have to take really deep breaths and talk all happy and chirpy to them until we get home where I can bitch about people and their damn yappy dogs .

The neighbors on one side of me have three Boston terriers and some sort of mixed breed...thing...and it seems like they keep their dogs outside ALL the time. As soon as I let my three out their dogs won't shut up....and usually my beagle makes a beeline for the fence and will bark back...every once in a while snow will follow suit. The neighbor lady will go in her back yard all huffy and puffy and call her dogs in like its my fault....I think it's pretty funny. They have one Boston that tries to come through the privacy fence and on a few occasions has knocked the bottom of the fence panels loose enough to put its head through....usually I'll have to get a hammer and fix the board, and I tried explaining to the lady that I cannot be held responsible if her dog actually makes it through the fence..or if I do not notice her dog tearing up my fence in time to fix it so it would be best if she did something about her dog breaking through. With being 37 weeks pregnant, bending down and hammering a fence back together is not on my list of things to do lately, so I'm sure there are spots that that little dog can go through now .I don't think my three would hurt it, but her dog is a nasty little thing and if provoked I'm not too sure they are just going to stand there.
But hey, at least these neighbors haven't called the cops on me saying I own a wolf that is runnng loose in the neighborhood like my previous ones did! Haha

One of ours do that too and it is kind of what caused this feeling. I know it's really not my fault, but I don't like feeling like someone is pissed at me, even if I barely know them!

There's a lady on the other side of the block from me that has 2 pom's. They are nuts when you walk by. The lady finally figured out what time I was going to walk by with Lucian, and kept them in the house, lol. I wouldn't worry about it, it's their dog going nuts, not yours.
