| I hope it's okay to post in this folder, as this is show related. Olivia and Phoenix were in their first B Match together last Friday and they did great! Olivia was the only one in her age group, so obviously she won first for Novice Junior. LOL. However, after that, she was up against a couple girls her were in the 15 - 17 age category and they had a lot of experience handling. Nonetheless, I am proud to say that Olivia won Best Junior Handler! Wooohooo! Olivia and Phoenix got some cool prizes for winning and then Olivia won a bunch of stuff in a raffle, too. It was neat, because we saw our breeder's mother at the show and she recognized the pup as one of their own, LOL. She is a very experienced and accomplished breeder and handler and watched Olivia with Phoenix in the ring. She said Phoenix moves and stacks very well and that Olivia did a great job handling her. She said we really need to stick with it. We are super excited! We also had Olivia and Phoenix professionally photographed, which took all of twenty seconds! This can sometimes take a long time to get a good shot, but our little pup acted like she had been doing this her whole life. The photographer thought Phoenix was 9 or 10 months old and was amazed when we told him she is only 4 1/2 months old. He said she has lovely bone structure and spent about 20 minutes giving us a ton of advice. The photo will show up in the mail at some point. Overall, it was a wonderful experience! So many people gave us excellent advice and seemed completely smitten with our little pup. I'm so glad we went! We look forward to doing more shows in the future. I am trying to get some videos loaded, but will need a teenager to help me. I do have one decent, albeit somewhat fuzzy, pic, though. |
