2. Read the Stickies and Announcements. Each sub-forum may have specific rules which trump the Forum Rules in cases where there may be conflicting information. Read the rules of each board before you post so that you are clear on the expectations of the staff.
3. Respect ALL Staff and Admins. These people volunteer of their time and MUST be respected as well as their word adhered to. They are responsible for maintaining a free, open, clear and organized forum. Anyone found to be openly undermining any official ruling by a staff member will be warned.

Should you need assistance creating an appropriate signature, please PM an Admin and we would be happy to help! This is to ensure that signatures remain a welcome addition to our forum instead of a cumbersome distraction. So I took Vegeta today for his second round of puppy vaccinations. He got his second round of DAPPv and got a Bordetella vaccine. My question is what's left on the vaccines? What is normally entailed in the final of the three puppy visits? I meant to ask my vet while I was there but I had a brain fart and forgot to ask. Embarassed

Last distemper/parvo vaccine and a rabies that will be good for a year. That's usually what's left, but it depends on your pups age. A phone call to your vet is free, just to make sure.

I would 't get the Lyme vaccine. Studies show that it isn't as liable as originally assumed. Are you using a flea and tick preventative?

Lyme shot is optional, I got them for both of mine since we are in a high risk area

Heart worm preventative if you haven't started that already. Also rabies and another distemper/parvo.

Perfect. I gave him heart worm medicine last week, but by the time I go I'll get have to get him new ones.

So it's looking like:
Rabies
Distemper/Parvo (last puppy round)
Heart Worm

Then anything else that's optional, depending on the cost I'm going to look into micro-chipping. I plan on micro-chipping but I don't know if I'll do it then or when he gets neutered in a few months.

This is how I had mine done

1st visit - 12 weeks 5 way distemper/parvo, deworming, Bordetella

2nd visit - 15 weeks 5 way distemper/parvo, Lyme shot, microchipped

3rd visit - 18 weeks 5 way distemper/parvo, neutering

I also started heartworm pills and flea/tick prevention at 2 months and do it every month

Sorry my last post was less than legible...I was in a very comatose state after 10 hours showing. LOL

I would go for the microchip now - it's very quick and worth the money.
