I was hoping to have some pictures of Mishka in his x-back to post along with these from yesterday, but apparently my package was not delivered to my house. So I'm in the process of filing a claim with the USPS to figure out where it's at!

He is so nice and fit now! He looks awesome. How much does he weigh if you don't mind me asking?

Thank you! He's still around 55lbs. I need to take him in to the vet to weigh him actually. Will do that when I go get his next HW meds.

Mishla is such a beauty and starting to look like an adult. Danzig was scrawny forever, so it's nice to see Mishka isn't going through that awkward stage lol.

You know it's funny because he never went through a scrawny phase. He's always been pretty proportional and filled out.

Ended up getting the x-back today! Apparently USPS delivered it to the SAME house that UPS mis-delivered a package to my house to yesterday. The guy was like OH HEY! when he saw me. Lol.






And it's a few inches too short. Will have to email them about it tomorrow.

Try the trick in the video I showed you first. Then if it's still too short contact the company. I had the same fear when we first tried Layla's on but then we really pulled it back and got the fur out of the way like in the video and it looks great.

Thanks Liz. I'm definitely going to do that! I go home in about 45 minutes so I'll be bothering Mishka with that trick when I get there.

Thank you! After the initial flood warning, the weather was nice! I even thought it may have been cool enough to bike last night but the roads were too wet to feel safe in case he saw something he'd want to go after.

He is a character and a butthead at times, but I love him.

Love your pictures, Ashleigh - they seem to really capture Mishka's spirit. Also - Mishka just plain "speaks to me!"

Hahaha. Thank you! He's normally pretty clean but he does love to eat dirt and mud and stick his nose in holes, etc. And it never fails during the warmer months for him to get muddy since he cools off in the mudholes like a pig. Lol.

I love muddy Mishka! But if Layla got that dirty, I'd probably be pretty upset at having to bathe her, haha. Luckily it's probably still warm enough that you could give him a good spray outside with the hose?

I could, but it was too dark by the time we made it back home, so I had to put him in the bathtub! I'm sure our plumbing is not going to be thanking us later. -_-

Ditto - I find a muddy husky adorable - it speaks of so much fun. BUT, here, a Mr. Mud Dog loses house privileges, temporarily - fortunately, we have the trolley. And most fortunately - husky fur seems to shed the dirt beautifully - Ami can be totally filthy from digging and within 24 hours, you never would know it! Also, he grooms himself like a cat!

Ashleigh - I would not want to be your plumber - I'll bet your trap has a ton of silt in it

Thank you, Amy! I'm sure it is. If we had a place outside with some lighting to hose him off I would wash him outside. I learned the hard way that when he gets THAT muddy, I have to wash him otherwise he will have mud caked on him for a week and the sandy grit is all over my house for even longer.

Thank you! His nose is doing better. It's not so crusty and raw, but it must still itch because I caught him scratching it on my outdoor rug earlier. :/ I just switched his food so I'm going to see if that was it. If not then I don't know what else to do.
