Map to trail head and our hike

the stats are off and we were a bit slow on this one, it should be about a 5mile RT and about a 3hr hike if you move with little stopping but up at the lake. Heather and Jarod caught up to me on the highway and followed me to the trailhead, this was my 3rd time shoeing this trail and their 2nd.
the Wind was crazy as you will see but we had sunshine so it was ok with me. Now to the best part, Pictures!

I am severely jealous of you. I want to start hiking with Onyx but we don't really have that sort of scenery to hike in. I have 2 drive maybe 2 hours north to get into forest and hills. No mounts here in the mitten state Crying or Very sad

That one, right there. The time I do not have...yet, lol. Once the wife is done with grad school we will be doing some weekends up north to go hiking with the dogs.

lol great pics, looks like loads of fun (minus the wind... i hate cold wind ;x). wish i lived in an area like that, we have very few trails around here and the ones we do have are very short (at the most 2 miles).

13th pic down is my favoriet.

Awesome! I was planning on going there last weekend, but my friend decided not to go for some dumb reason. Can you let them off leash there?

Well people had off leash dogs but had leashes in hand and for the most part all dogs were friendly. I would not let the huskies off as its to wooded and I don't do off leash in the woods. I did unhook them from me, kept leash on them at the lake so they could sniff around we were also a good few hrs in so they were ok.
