We are so excited to have our little girl home with us!!! We were fortunate to be able to get off work early and pick her up on Friday afternoon, so we've had a little time to get to know her. So far, she is the sweetest little thing I could have asked for - in fact, she's sleeping on my lap as I type this! Her name is Luna, and she is 10 weeks old. :-)

Thanks, everyone! She really is a sweet little girl - she loves to cuddle and give kisses, and she's been getting along really well with our other dog and both of our cats. :-) Still trying to nail the whole potty-training thing, and I keep having to remind myself that we haven't even had her for a week!

In terms of her name - we've actually known for years that we eventually wanted to have a female husky named Luna. My husband has always thought that Luna was a pretty name for a dog, both in general and for a husky specifically. It also ties back to our theme of naming our animals after book characters (Sirius, Tonks, & Luna - Harry Potter; Cinna - Hunger Games). The fact that she has the half-moons under her eyes is just icing on the cake!
