hello, my name is Kevin and in November I saved a white siberian husky mix from a local shelter. I named her Snow White because of her white fur. I was told she was about 2 years old. She was supposed to be spayed, but is now in heat, so I guess not. I talked to the shelter and they have made arrangements to have her fixed when she comes out of heat. We signed up for training classes, but had to stop because of her condition. She was doing well and seems to be quite smart. I will post some pics when I get a chance. I found this site after 'googling' husky in heat and found helpful information. She is a total sweetheart, but she definitely needs to be exercised to keep her out of trouble. I have been reluctnat to walk her outside as I want to avoid other dogs poetntially off leash (she was bit by a loose pitbull last month).
