| So picture this: a couple of college guys hanging out, watching some cheesy action movie, drinking a few beers and in walks my buddy with his 10 week lab. We all go "dude that's a cool puppy" and do that whole jazz. Okay, now fast forward 30 minutes. The guy and his puppy are playing on the floor. Just kind of tug-a-war with a rope, wrestling, doing all that good stuff. Then suddenly the puppy gets all worked up and bites his hand. No big deal, he gets up and leaves the puppy. 15 minutes later they are playing again and the puppy starts humping his arm and then bites him (playfully but still kinda hard). So he grabs his puppy, lays on top of him and bites his ear. WTF?! I have never heard a puppy scream so loud. So I'm sitting there flabbergasted by the fact that to "show dominance" he pinned the dog and bit his ear. Has anyone ever heard of something like this? It seems kind of....odd. Like it would promote rough play.

| Forcing a puppy that young to submit in such a rough and cruel manner will most likely cause fear, fear aggression, and distrust. Big no no. Puppies that young don't know all the aspects of dominance, and plus, the dominance theory between dogs and humans is outdated. A dogs goal in life isn't to dominate it's human, IMO. I feel bad for the puppy. That's abuse in my eyes |

| I agreed. I didn't like it and could never see treating Vegeta that way. Luckily the puppy got over it and is fine right now and is currently laying with the guy on the love seat. I just hope the puppy doesn't grow up distrusting or something if that is a common occurrence between them. |
