I had a name already picked out - both registered and call name (shaina picked out the call name). Her name will be "Boreayl's Dare to Dream" call name Mechta.

With my first one I waited until I had the pup to pick her name. I had wrote down a list of names we liked and we called her by the first one she actively responded to.

it was a super long trip. A combined total of like 21 hours with a three hour break that we spent with Debbie. After sleeping the night (Kurt took over puppy duty) I am rested enough to make an actual post of my own!

I'm actually still really exhausted but really thank you all for such wonderful comments about her to come home to!

Heather sent me out a collar/leash/harness set up. Thanks so much Heather ! Here she is sporting the collar! She looks really good in it!

As to her color - She's just called a "red and white" with a dark face. The exact technical name for her color would probably vary depending on who you ask. Like Kelly said the darker reds are called copper. I prefer calling her a more chocolate color. She reminds me of an Irish Setter in color - that rich deep dark chocolate/red/brown color.

(as an aside; I totally started writing this at like 2pm but fell asleep and then had to take Mechta out for socialization at the bank and petco. Hooray for a post that took like 5 hours to write!)

Yeah but supposedly they're amber or will be amber. So we'll see. But for now they're green
