| Hi There, Wanted to introduce myself formally to the community! I am Brittney and Dante my Sibe boy is now a little over a year old! I have been looking for a place where I can talk about all the husky stuff that only you all will understand...and a place to be active about huskies. I recently also have been allowed to volunteer part-time with MUSHRs (Minnesota's Unwanted Siberian Husky Rescue) and hope to help in the process of pups finding their own fur parent(s). I really just love everything about the breed and am very dedicated to my pets in general. My Uncle had a Siberian growing up while I was a kid (he only had that one husky then switched to labs ) But I loved his dog Kylee and had a lot of fond memories, I decided I would get a pup of my own since I moved to a townhome by myself and remembered how much I had enjoyed Kylee. I spent a lot of time thinking and researching about a year in total and I found a reputable breeder that lived about 3 hours north of me. I waited another year for Dante's parents to have their litter, and he was the runt and came about an hour and a half after his 4 brothers and sisters. I visited him multiple times when he was still a tiny teensy little puppy, but fell in love with him instantly. From the time I got him at 12 weeks up until now he is a little over a year old it has been a crazy and sometimes bumpy journey! My parents hate pets and I was never allowed to have them growing up, so Dante is not only my first Sibe, but also my first dog in general...talk about running before you can crawl! I have learned a ton thanks to the internet, my breeder, and my Uncle he actually gave me a lot of Kylee's old things he used to skijor with her. Dante is a crazy awesome guy. He always has to be the center of attention, can't get enough bellyrubs, loves to give kisses (idk if anyone else's do this, but he really is affectionate), cuddles like a lap dog, except for he is way too big for my lap, is overly friendly towards everyone and all dogs, loves playing with other dogs, loves running, jogging, walking, hiking, running next to my bike (thank goodness for the Walky Dog Bike Attachment), chewing on his vast supply of antlers, rawhides, Kongs, toys, etc. ice cubes, treats, playing fetch (yes, he does fetch and likes to...is that weird?!), tug of war, terrorizing his cat brother, and being out in the snow. It just snowed super heavy out today and of course we were running through it for 45 minutes and Dante has that huge mischievous smile on his face. In general I think it is so weird how he is like superglue attached to my hip where ever I go, like even if we go to the dog park and he is out having fun he will run over and "check-in" with me constantly. He is definitely a "Momma's Boy". Plus, he is very chatty, but doesn't bark often which I find hilarious I love the "husky talk" so much! I also don't know a lot of people from MN with Siberians, but am always wanting to schedule play dates so if anyone is interested feel free to PM me! I look forward to all the fun discussions on this forum! Thanks! Brittney & Dante I fail at posting pictures I can't figure out how to get flickr to preview properly on here. But here's a link to my flickr: http://www.flickr.com/photos/92652385@N03/ And, I recently got a semi-pro camera for Christmas, so I am sure I will be posting more higher quality photos within the next few weeks after I figure out all the settings on it!

| Welcome! We're just a state away in Wisconsin! If you're not to far from the border, which I'm assuming not since MUSHR is in Minneapolis. We're having a meet up in Eau Claire February 16th, about 80 minutes from Minneapolis. |

| Hey There! Thanks for the welcome! I will not be able to make that meet up since it is on Valentine's Day and I work in the restaurant industry (one of our busiest days), but I would LOVE to go to a future event!! You're not too far away at all. -Brittney & Dante |

| Oh man he is beautiful! I love the professional photos of you and him. Also, not sure if it's just me but the images aren't actually showing up. Maybe because they're linked from flickr without back links? _________________ |
