| Hey, So, we feed Kyra(she's 8 weeks) a little more than the bag recommends. It says 3/4 cups a day for her weight and activity level. We feed her twice a day 1/2 cup each time. Every time she eats she scarfs it down without chewing as if she doesn't get fed. The past 2 days she has thrown up her dinner portion and it's just full kibble that's being thrown up. I tried giving her piece by piece and still then she just swallowed it whole. We have her on Acana I broke her kibble pieces all in half for her food tomorrow and i'm planning to feed her 3 times a day instead of 2 and also add some warm water in with the food...is there anything else I should be doing? I hate that not only is she scarfing it down within seconds but that shes now starting to bring it back up. |

| Try feeding her out of a Kong or some other treat-dispensing toy. That works wonders with slowing them down. The kong balls are the best for this (as far as I've found), but they can be a little hard to find. |

| Soak her food, especially since she's so young, it will help with the hoovering and keep her from aspirating. |

| Drop her food by small handfuls into her bowl. Or just feed her by hand. That should slow her down as well. |

| it's probably best you feed her 3 times a day at that age anyway, at least until she's 3 months old.
TRy putting a tennis ball in her bowl or something so she has to eat around it.
What brand of food are you feeding her? |

| You can try a bundt pan or muffin tin to slow the pup down. She is regurgitating rather than vomiting. |

| Soaking the food will help the regurgitating. Also spreading out meals to 3x daily will help... I usually keep them on 3x day feeding until they lose interest in a meal or hit 6 months- Whichever comes first. _________________ Force Free Training ThreadCheyenne, Mishka, Mickey, Rodeo, & Odin Are you a Husky owner in South Florida?! | We started feeding her 3 times a day, soaking her food and I also split her kibble in half. Day 2 and she hasn't brought any of it back up! breaking up the kibble one by one is a pain though so i'm going to try and give her full kibble again and see how she does with it. |

| There are some bowls on the market that may help. http://www.amazon.com/Brake-Fast-Food-Slow-Feed-Bowl/dp/B000PE30MQ
We have found by portioning the food throughout the day in smaller meals slows down quantity eaten at any one time.
Another option is to portion the food for the entire day and use kibble as training treats from the portion already set aside for the day. That way they "work" for their food, it becomes part of the training, and you are able to slow down the amount they eat at any one time. |
