| Where do you guys get affordable toys?
http://www.drsfostersmith.com/ is a nice site, cheaper than petco and petsmart for the same stuff.
I plan on moving out of my parents' house this summer and I'm starting a stockpile of things I'll need.
Also, does anybody in Wisconsin have an extra wire crate? I don't really want to buy a new one, but Snoopy has a tendency to eat my boyfriend's socks when not supervised. They're the only things he's ever chewed on that aren't his lol |

| Capped soda bottles and other drink bottles are great for short lived toys. You just have to watch them and when they start tearing piece off it in the trash they go. |

| Honestly, all I usually buy are whatever is cheap/on clearance wherever I see. There's no point in spending money on things he's going to destroy in less than a day. And he still gets the same amount of pleasure from the cheap stuff (as long as it squeaks!). |

| So far, he hasn't been a fan of water bottles. I was thinking about making a cover for one out of some extra fleece since he likes soft things in his mouth.
Sara, I agree, which is why I don't shop at Petco or Petsmart. I'm looking up neat toys I can make out of rope, maybe I'll just make all of his stuff >: D |

| I used to just get the cheap crap because they'd get destroyed anyway... But i've been very happy with Tuffy toys and Kygen Bottle buddies And the dogs like them too. _________________ Force Free Training ThreadCheyenne, Mishka, Mickey, Rodeo, & Odin Are you a Husky owner in South Florida?! | Do you have a Big Lots in your area I get 3.00 toys there. Also Dollar Tree also has some toys but I look them over very carefully before getting any.. they are only 1.00. |

Lucian must like expensive toys more than cheap ones. Every single one I've bought from the dollar store he's taken it apart by the seem usually in under 24 hrs. The little bit pricier stuff he's left whole, lol. So I don't bother with the dollar store toys anymore. |

| Thanks guys!
I actually bought Nunya the kygen Reindeer water bottle toy for Christmas, but I have to wait for the rest of the snow to melt to find it cause he put it outside lol I really like those Tuffy Toys, especially the dinosaurs! I'm gonna have to start saving though... Those are blasted expensive.
I think we have a Big Lots and a TJ Maxx, but I've never heard of Marshalls. I checked at Family Dollar this morning but they didn't have anything good.
I've got six months, I'm keeping my eyes peeled! |

| You can also make toys yourself!! My Sheba has a very fun time with chewing apart jeans unfortunately... So once we went through the second pair of jeans, I looked on the interent to see if I could make something out of them. I found this link for making a like tug rope out of jeans. You can make LOTS of homemade toys. I am a strapping for cash young adult as well, so the more stuff I can make out of crap she's already destroyed the better. |

| Luckily our dogs don't destroy things that don't belong to them, Snoopy just counter surfs! haha I did think that they were going into my room and taking my old stuffed animals down stairs, until I found out it was the kitten. Damn cat loves to carry around stuffed animals, even if they're three times her size! The boys didn't even chew up the toys she left all over the floor in the first floor. I really want to make rope toys, but I can't figure out how to connect the two ends of this ring: http://www.instructables.com/id/RING-DOG-TOY/ I made another thread asking about it, so I hope somebody answers me. The video that's posted with it doesn't seem complete. Like, one knot won't hold if a dog pulls, and it doesn't look like the picture! |

| I know verrrry little about this, so take this with a grain of salt. My dad made me a long lead for Pippa and after he had braided the rope together, he soldered the ends of each piece to melt them slightly to lock them in place. That might be the solution? |

| I don't think that would work as the knot still wouldn't be stable enough. I burn the nylon ropes I cut to make leashes with a lighter so the ends don't fray though. But maybe. I'll have to try it and I'll let you guys know incase anybody is curious. I'll have to get more rope for practice. I love Fleet Farm, only $10 for a 100' cord :3 |

| Another way to get cheap toys I just remembered. I love going to PetSmart and occasionally Petco (I hate Petco, I've had nothing but bad experiences there) after a major holiday. The toys go down to 50% and lower. I always stock up. |

| With all of the braiding in that rope all the friction holds it all together similar to splicing rope. Just tuck the ends in after the braiding and it should stay together. If it looks like its starting to come undone just reweave it. |

| West Paw Designs makes the single most indestrructible ttoy I have come across to date. Its called a Bumi, I think. Its $15.00, but it lasts a good 3 months with Soshanna, whom had destroyed a black kong in 2 weeks. |

| I gave the ring toy to my boyfriend's dog and her destroyed it in about five minutes. DESTROYED. No more of that for him, but Snoopy isn't a destroyer, yet.
Thanks Eric, those look pretty good. I found the one you were talking about too. |
