So I was looking through some videos and I found this one! I remembered the horrors with Lycus' cone after he was neutered. Due to the fact that he kept dragging his ass all everywhere to scratch, I would have to put him in his crate a little longer than usual lol. He didn't seem to like it very much and this is what he would do after seeing us walking around the house and he was just in his crate. Do you guys have pictures with "the cone of shame" I would love to see any pictures or videos!

I'm sure I'll have something to add in January when Lucian gets neutered, lol.

Zoey
I didn't really keep the cone on Ares when he was neutered, he was the only dog that I took home the same day and he was in SO much pain but he gave me this laughable photo, this was him a couple hours after being home, still very doped up lol

I have lots of pictures and videos of Suka in his cone of shame.
My favourite video, taken a few years ago:

He's clearly saying "Get this damn thing off of me!" Lol. I've been hoping Lucian will just leave that area alone when I get him neutered, but with my luck I highly doubt it.

I guess my two were lucky, they never had to wear the cone after their neuter, and they both came home the same day! In fact Nikko came home 3 hours after I dropped him off

That drunk photo of Ares makes me crack up!
Suka obviously didn't like it either lol! Just like Lycus!

Sabaka's cone looks like a Kmart special and some of yours look more "designer quality"... haha!

I wish I had a video of when Cloud had to wear the cone. He wouldn't even walk with it on, he RAN, and it was a straight bee line to the closest leg he could ram the cone into. He was closely monitored the first 5 days after being home though so we would take it off and every time he tried to mess with the stitches we said 'ah-ah' and then put the cone back on. He only had to wear it the first day, he's such a good puppy ^-^

After her abscess ruptured. She didn't wear one after her spay and this only lasted the night (she becomes balance impaired with it on and won't move [or sleep as I found out])

Look at Bella's pretty, clear cone of shame! Seriously, People, I must go to a discount vet because she certainly hooked us up with an ugly old thing!

My vet didn't even give us cones. I had to go to Petsmart and pay $20 for mine

None of my girls wore cones when they got spayed. My sister broke our sheltie puppies leg and she had to have a cone on.

I just got our cone from the vet as well. It looked almost like Sabakas! It wasn't too bad, and since Lycus kept pushing through the other to lick, he got the extra large lol. I like those petsmart ones but they were a bit pricey for just a few days of wearing.
All I remember was Lycus smacking every wall and corner as he walked around through the house lol.

Mine wasn't even a day of wearing for Zoey's. I kenneled her with it on while I was working and came home to Zoey coneless and it chewed up everywhere

Haha thats too funny! She was like "None of this 'cone wearing' for me!"
Lycus was horrendous with the first cone! He somehow ripped through the part that atatched to the collar and was able to lick himself. Not only that, when he was walking around, the next thing I would see was him trying to drag is ass around. Thus, the extra crating time lol.
Afterwards, I took him back to the vet, and they gave him the even bigger cone! Poor guy just made things worse for himself lol

Looks like the one we ended up with for Blaze when he got neutered. He still end up with and infection and had to do meds.. we ended up putting a diaper on him as well he kept rubbing the it with the cone of shame. I am so glad that is in the past.

Like I predicted, Lucian got the cone of shame. He threw a total FIT with it on. Whipped his head around like crazy, and about knocked himself to the floor. So I took it off for now, and I'll put it back on when it's time for bed.

He can barely move in that thing! It's huge. Poor guy. I have to keep putting him in the kitchen for chill outs. He wants to play and run around the house. They told me to keep him calm for 10-14 days, right. They don't know huskies very well do they?!

Loki didn't do to bad with it. Only time he wore it was at night while we were asleep and when nobody was home.

Here's Dakota's most recent occurrence. Because our previous cone met its death, I bought one from PetCo.
I'll have to dig up some of the others I have of both pups. Some of them are downright pathetic. lol
