So as you all know, I recently took in a 10 month old foster husky puppy named Haku. I was told that he has been outside for most of his life. So naturally, he will mess in my house due to poor/no potty training. I've been working with him to do his business outside and he does it right away after I take him out (after he pees on my floor). I usually let him out every hour and it's been accident free.

ANYWAYS... Juneau is 8 1/2 months and has been potty trained since 4 1/2 months. AFTER I brought in Haku, she has peed TWICE in the house in the past 6 days that I've had him. He's had around 7 I think. It pisses me off because she knows better and I really don't want to pick up after two dogs! I do the proper thing too - enzyme cleaner and then shampoo the carpet. I've been running around the house like a madwoman, trying to keep it clean for my hubby. He doesn't like the dog smell and Haku came to us smelling like piss and freshly neutered (aka no baths). It took me a lot of convincing to keep the dogs "inside dogs" too. So I've been a little strained lol.

Just felt like venting, whew! Thanks for letting me get that off my chest. Smile

I hope everyone's week has been going better than mine!

When you disrupt the routine, even older adult dogs will regress in potty training. Koda would regress every time we moved. It was annoying.

Don't just take Haku out every hour. Take Juneau out with him. Sometimes it's best to just start over at step 1 with the whole household.

Sorry it's been a rough week. Good luck!

Oh that makes sense. I didn't think of it that way! I just don't like change I guess. Razz

I'll take her out with him from now on. It's just been raining cats and dogs over here so I only like to take one at a time but I'll suck it up if it means my carpet will stay pee-free lol.

Thank you! Smile

Try to have patience if you can and don't get pissed. When I left for a week for my wedding, my dogs peed on the floor where they were staying every day at least once...they didn't do that here before and they haven't done it since. It was VERY stressful for them.
