Hello all! I recently adopted my sweet boy Gretzky - all of my Googled questioned repeatedly led me back to this forum, so I decided it was time to register

Gretzky is around a year and a half, and quite underweight. We're working on gaining weight slowly to be mindful of his joints and also working on refining his house training skills. He took to bell training quickly, but he doesn't always tell me when he needs to go out, and he's not as insistent as my other dog, Crosby, with the bells. Oh well, it's a work in progress! He's only been with us for a couple weeks but already he's a member of the family, and he's drawn the joy of life back from Crosby with his puppy antics.

I'm a big fan of using puzzles to work their brain! The boys get half their daily food in puzzles (varying in difficulty).


With big brother Crosby. Gretzky is a definite snuggler.

Haha yes, Gretzky was originally going to be Luongo but the name just didn't roll off the tongue the way I wanted it to. Crosby (the dog) was born in 2010 when I was still running off the high of Team Canada's gold Also his personality fits to a t, right down to the temper tantrums haha

I also enjoy the hockey themed names

only with me and my husband we couldn't agree on names because i'm a die hard Blackhawks fan and he is a die hard Red Wings fan ( sometimes i wonder how our marriage works lol)

Haha! Love conquers all, I suppose! I'm actually a diehard Canucks fan, but alas all of the names that could have worked, my sister veto'ed because she already called dibs for future kids names. We're that kind of family.
