Bit of a Lazy Saturday here, I'm really just trying to find excuses for not cutting the grass to be honest.
So I figured I could post a couple of Pics of Tika just for fun.
She has gotten much darker in the couple of months since we've had her, well dark for her. Looking forward to see what her true color will end up being... If she will keep her red at all or go brown.
She has been out standing! Very calm, very smart, and respecting all our rules and heeling like a pro 75% of the time on roads.... Once she gets to the fields we take her into she stays right beside us until she hears "Free" and promptly goes to the end of her leach exploring all that she can.
Still working on how to be calm around other dogs, and greeting people without the excited jumping while on walks.... At home she has no issues with people.
Anyways here are a couple of pics of Tika getting bigger.
Relaxing behind the couch....
Playing with a Duck she made us buy her..... She lost a tooth in the pet shop and picked it up and we didn't want to leave it there covered in blood so.....
This was both of us about 2 weeks or so Ago... She was 25 pounds... She has since shot up to about 30. Little growth spurt but not fat at all.
Since moving into our house our bathtub has been broken... We've been looking for a part so we don't have to remove the dry wall and redo it all.... Until we find it it only pumps out cold water so we haven't used it at all....
That being said, it has become her time out spot. It's actually worked really well as She knows to be calm in the bathtub now or she won't come out and bath times have been EASY
She also has not jumped out YET..... so hopefully she doesn't learn that
Anyways here's her in time out after chasing one of my cats.
I think someone used the term Velcro Dog on this forum somewhere??? She has made a den out of my Desk in my game room while I play my video games.
And thats about it
~Tika~

She's really pretty! I especially love the "I'm sorry" look on her face in the time out picture.

Haven`t Posted in a while but I still check the forums all the time. I actually don`t think I could get through my day at work without logging in once at least and checking out some pics or posts so thanks again for all that.
All your dogs are awesome and beautiful, though I might not post at all I think their all amazing.
Anyways I haven`t uped any pics in a long while so I though I would add a bunch since I`m bored this morning.

Tika 6 Months old.
The Dog Park.
So Our local dog park sucks. It`s a fence in area barely smaller then my back yard right beside a super busy highway. It is also the only fenced in dog park (I use that term loosely) anywhere close to me. All the others are off leach and not fenced in at all. I think it goes without saying no one goes to this park..... ever.
We met a couple who had a Golden close to us around the 6 month mark who loved to play with Tika but was also well trained and had amazing recall. We tied them together so where ever the golden went Tika had to follow. It was great having that safety net at the time and Tika had a blast.
Tika and Buddy.
Super Dog.
We separated them for a bit cause Buddy was tired. Tika stayed around the other dogs which was awesome. Since that time she has been perfect at the dog park free *knock on wood*

10 months.
Two weeks ago we rented a cabin up north for a couple of days. It was right on a lake, frozen over at the moment, and way out in the mountains.
I think there was about 16 people there, 5 families including little children, she was awesome with everyone and I kept hearing how calm, gentle and loving she was.
highlight of the weekend.... Making my Godson run across the the lake and giving Tika the GET HIM command and releasing her. She would tear off grab him by his jacket and snow plow him into the snow. He loved it and i`ve never seen Tika run out of energy before someone else...... My Godson however proved the victor as near the end Tika would just lay there looking up at me as if to say, when is he going to sleep case i`m DONE.
My Niece does not like Tika......
Classic action shot.
Me and the HOVER dog.
Whelp thats about it. Thanks for looking and again letting me share all your dogs with you guys as well. It`s so great having this little corner of the interwebs to check out and share all this stuff.
Chris

She's really beautiful! Love her coloring and markings.
So the Ball of Fur is almost one, tomorrow will be the day. I promised I would try and post a couple of Pics today .
Honestly she has been so great.... my Grandfather breed Chows for show, so I've had alot of dogs in my life, but not one of them compares to the adventure that is TIKA. She just seems to enjoy life so much, everything is a game or an adventure and she has just blown my expectations away.
What I've learned over the past year.
1) Leaves blowing in the wind make for interesting walks when half asleep.
2) Beavers are apparently large squirrels and it doesn't matter if swimming in cold water is an option (Don't read this wrong she didn't get ANYWHERE close to it... she just needed to see it and was about to jump in)
3) All other dogs in the world are toys and must be played with at any and every chance.
4) Asking someone to sit or lay down with a treat in your hand is 10,000 times more effective.
5) If I talk to ANYONE while on a walk we must now go and greet them face to face.
6) If a dog tries to mount you, flop over on your side and play dead (I swear this was the funniest thing I've seen, and she did it more then once).
7) puddles, no matter how muddy or deep, must be investigated by jumping in head first and then laying down in.
8 ) I was not prepared for Coat blowing season.......
I'm sure theres a lot more but these are just at the top of my head.
So here's a couple of pics from the past year. Some of them are Candid where as you just use the closest camera before she moves..... This resulted in a couple of mobile snap shots that are grainy and might not be the best quality so I apologize for those.
Catching a tiny bit of sun on a cold day
Tika's Many Many Shades.
Tika in her Element.
Snow Dog.
Mud puddle + Tika = New Socks?
Big Puddle + Tika = Swim time? Every new dog that showed up to the dog park this day that would chase her she would bring down to the GIANT puddle and make them dive in.....
Grainy as can be... But this is the day we found the snowmobile trails by our house..... Saying Tika had fun there would be an understatement.
Puppy pic.. Shield eyes from Cuteness.
I'll be posting just a few more pics in a couple of minutes that a friend of mine took while hiking with his dog a couple of weeks ago.
Our wedding photographer has become a friend of the family. He has gone on to do the wedding photos for a couple of of close friends and talks to my wife all the time.
He also purchased a Burmese Mountain Dog, hence forth known as Maximus, around the same time we got Tika.
We convinced him to come with us during one of our hikes one day and here are a couple of pics of Both Tika and Maximus.
Max also has a fondness for mud socks.
Super Max!
So many Sticks!
Is this my good side?
Or is this?
Tika after our Hike.
Thats about it.... Sorry for the overload. I'm sure we will have more after this weekend with her turning 1 and all..
Thanks for looking and again thanks for the awesome forum! Great being able to see ALL your Sibes when ever I want!
Tika is really a cutie she lives up to her name very much. (dragonlance).

If you can put up with my voice for any length of time... Kelly and I took the girls out blading last week.
I was comfortable enough bringing the camera with me as I only had Tika to deal with, where as I normally have both alone. I tried to get some shots of Ripley but having Tika in front of me it was just easier focusing on her.
It's hard to tell but you can sometimes make out the speed Tika alone allows me to get up to....... with both of them pulling me I can get some great speed and fun.
Sorry for the shakiness and the darkness at the end..... You try roller blading with 2 huskies holding your wife camera in your hand and get back to me .....
In Ending two recent pics of the girls taken from Kel's Phone.

During their wrestling matches, which Ripley always win, we have come to agree it's like watching Forman fight Ali.... though in our case Forman seems to always win
Both Blaze and Kerian are really really cute.
Both Kelly and I love your pups
