Read the Stickies and Announcements. Each sub-forum may have specific rules which trump the Forum Rules in cases where there may be conflicting information. Read the rules of each board before you post so that you are clear on the expectations of the staff. 3. Respect ALL Staff and Admins. These people volunteer of their time and MUST be respected as well as their word adhered to. They are responsible for maintaining a free, open, clear and organized forum. Should you need assistance creating an appropriate signature, please PM an Admin and we would be happy to help! This is to ensure that signatures remain a welcome addition to our forum instead of a cumbersome distraction. Links: Hyperlinks in signatures--unless to a personal blog or photo stream of your dogs (like Flckr or Piscasa, for example)--are strictly prohibited. | I have a 11 week old puppy. I read an article and it made me nervous. I am thinking about getting a playmate for Captain. Share your thoughts about it. I noticed that some people own two dogs or two husky. He is a happy puppy, but I don't want him to get or be lonely. |

| I would wait until he is where you want him training wise. Then your new pup or dog would learn good habits from him. IMO two dogs are better then one but two puppies are worse then one. A lot of people have done two puppies at once but I'd consider waiting. |

| Two puppies at once run a higher risk for what is known as "littermate syndrome". They require a lot more devotion of time to individual training (in all aspects) and exercise while also giving them structured time together.
Everything with puppy hood is doubled when adding a second - so if you have problems with the first dog the other dog can learn and make double the problems. Which is why most people advise adding a second until the training with the first one is to where you're happy with - so the new addition picks up on the good training.

| hmm I got Yuki when Cloud was 5 months old, but I've got to say I'm glad Cloud isn't a husky. He's been pretty easy to train and listens fairly well, although we do have our moments, and overall Yuki is the one who gets into the most trouble on her own. I couldn't imagine having two Yuki's! |
