Forum Rules
1. Here we prefer clarity to agreement. Obviously not everyone is going to agree on a topic; here we prefer to talk out our differences in a respectful manner to ensure mutual understanding and respect.
2. Read the Stickies and Announcements. Each sub-forum may have specific rules which trump the Forum Rules in cases where there may be conflicting information. Read the rules of each board before you post so that you are clear on the expectations of the staff.
3. Respect ALL Staff and Admins. These people volunteer of their time and MUST be respected as well as their word adhered to. They are responsible for maintaining a free, open, clear and organized forum. Anyone found to be openly undermining any official ruling by a staff member will be warned.
4. Signatures: One picture only and no links. Images: To keep the forum looking neat and tidy, we ask that members insert just one picture only in their signatures. The picture should be no more than 200x500 pixels and should be of an appropriate subject, for example, your dogs and their names. Should you need assistance creating an appropriate signature, please PM an Admin and we would be happy to help! This is to ensure that signatures remain a welcome addition to our forum instead of a cumbersome distraction. Links: Hyperlinks in signatures--unless to a personal blog or photo stream of your dogs (like Flckr or Piscasa, for example)--are strictly prohibited. Please PM a staff member with any questions or concerns regarding this rule.

Two years ago today we came home to find our Leo gone, dead on the kitchen floor. We still miss our boy, and wanted to share pics of him. He was a beautiful boy and Tommy's "Little Man". We miss our little friend....The late Leo Leo__t10

Thank you. He was a good boy. He had the greatest sound: he sounded like an old Dodge pickup trying to start.

Tommy wanted me to insert this note about Leo: He unfortunately had to be leashed outside, as he jumped the fence. (It was only when we weren't out there with him.)

Anyway, right by the back door, we have a set of windchimes that hang on a shepard's hook. When Leo was wanting to come in, he'd stand at the end of his leash and of course, his tail wagged furiously. That tail would hit the windchimes with a "clang-clang" all the time. The day after we buried him in the backyard, under his picnic table, I was in the bedroom, and those chimes were just a movin'! I ran to the kitchen window, expecting to see our Leo. Of course, he wasn't there. But the funny thing was, there was no wind, no trees moving. Nothing out there but the sound of Leo's windchimes. So, he still "talks" to us. Mainly when it's a calm, windless day. Tommy always called him his "Spirit Boy". I cannot wait until we see our boy again.....

I love you

Thank you all. When Tommy found him running the neighborhood, we was a starving boy. No idea how old he was. I only started dating Tommy in 2005, so only got to love him for less than 3 years....he was special! He & I had to come to an understanding after I moved in. Started with him crying to come in the bedroom at night with us which he'd never done. Then 2 weeks or so later, he just wanted his water bowl in the room. A week later, he only needed his kibble in there. That's all....Finally, could he just have a corner of the bed? So, ok, he could have the corner of the bed...And you know, after that sleep time was peaceful, and he never moved from his corner of the bed, even tho I'd have given in to him on that too.....
