Obviously not everyone is going to agree on a topic; here we prefer to talk out our differences in a respectful manner to ensure mutual understanding and respect. 2. Read the Stickies and Announcements. Each sub-forum may have specific rules which trump the Forum Rules in cases where there may be conflicting information. Read the rules of each board before you post so that you are clear on the expectations of the staff. 3. Respect ALL Staff and Admins. These people volunteer of their time and MUST be respected as well as their word adhered to. They are responsible for maintaining a free, open, clear and organized forum. Anyone found to be openly undermining any official ruling by a staff member will be warned. 4. Signatures: One picture only and no links. Images: To keep the forum looking neat and tidy, we ask that members insert just one picture only in their signatures. Should you need assistance creating an appropriate signature, please PM an Admin and we would be happy to help! This is to ensure that signatures remain a welcome addition to our forum instead of a cumbersome distraction. Links: Hyperlinks in signatures--unless to a personal blog or photo stream of your dogs (like Flckr or Piscasa, for example)--are strictly prohibited. | We recently adopted our husky Sarna from a friend. When she eats, she likes to take a mouthful away from her bowl, drop it, and then eat it off the floor. And sometimes she just drops it around her bowl AND THEN eats from her bowl. It's not really a problem, just kind of weird. I was just wondering else has ever seen this before. Because I haven't. |

| Ghost will do that from time to time. | Lucian doesn't do it, but my cats do! My in-laws dog does do that though. Scoops up a mouthful drops it on the floor, and then eats it. Sometimes he doesn't even eat it, lol. |

| Maya used to grab a mouthful and only eat a little bit after dropping it on the ground. But she wouldn't eat the rest of her food. She stopped after we switched her food, she gobbles it down now. |

| HAHA! I appreciate everyone's responses. Sounds like maybe she's just a weirdo. Which is totally cool! Thank you MayaAndSophie, we plan on switching her food here soon. As soon as the bag of her old food is low enough for us to start mixing with the new stuff. I've always wanted a husky and I have to say, I LOVE THE COMMUNITY HERE! Thank you all |

| My cousin's dog would do this. He'd grab about 4-6 pieces of kibble then run to the room where we are, dropped it, ate it, then came back and started all over again. It was funny lol. |

| Some dogs do it, others don't, some have modified versions of this. Dakota and Glory chow down normally, they don't waste time when it comes to eating. Faith will sometimes take her food out of the bowl and eat it right next to the bowl.
My mother in laws departed dog used to take one kibble out of the bowl, play with it (as in push it around, chase it and jump on it) then eat it, then take another kibble out, play with it then eat it...and you get the point...took a while for her to eat! _________________ |
