| Hi everyone, so I recently got a 12 week old puppy and Wednesday I noticed that she was having a lot of diarrhea and drooling a lot and noticed that her gums where very dull. So I brought her to the vet with a stool sample as she was due for a deworming that week, and a friend of mine got one of her litter mates and noticed that she had worms. So I brought her in and they ran blood tests and para virus testing, and I specifically asked them to run her stool. She came back with her test results showing that she was anemic and had an elevated WBC. So the vet said they they were not sure what was causing this but it was some type of bacterial infection and they would need to keep her for 2 days on an IV of an antibiotic. I then got her back on Friday and at that time spoke with my breeder to tell her what had just happened. My breeder said that it sounded like it was worms and that all puppies are born with them. After doing research online I was thinking the same, and thought to my self well they had to have ruled that out right with her stool testing? Wrong, I looked at my bill of 600 dollars, and they never charged me for it... So immediately I called them to see if they ran the test and they hadn't and told me to bring in a sample Saturday morning. As soon as she went poop I collected it and carefully inspected it myself, sure enough there were at least 4 round worms in it. Brought it in this morning and found out that she had roundworm, hook worm and an intestinal bacteria. They sent me home with dewormer and a different antibiotic than she was in the first time I picked her up yesterday. So had the vet ran the correct testing which I asked for, Mishka would've just been sent home with the dewormer and medication that I had to pay for today... So can I find the vet clinic to be negligent and get the money they charged me for everything that didn't need to be done back? And for baring with me and reading all that here's a picture of my pups for your enjoyment. |

| Yeah I'm going to see what they'll do. Since she has worms and may have licked her butt then chewed on toys I should probably throw out the toys? Or at least wash them somehow? |
