| I have a 2 year old husky named Sasha. i've had her for about a month now. When she was at her old home she was the only dog, but she was around cats. I also have a beagle named toby, and an English Springer Sprainer named Buddy. Buddy and Sasha are very similar in size, but of course the beagle Toby is smaller than Sasha. Sasha likes to play with Toby but she plays too rough and toby tries to get away but sasha won't give up until i yell at her. Is there anything else i can do to teach her not to play rough, or to not play with Toby at all? i play with her all the time(fetch, hide and seek, ect), but i just don't like how rough she is with my beagle.
Any advice on how to stop the rough play would be much appreciated! |

| The moment her play becomes unacceptable give her a command/reprimand such as "enough" and immediately remove her and place her somewhere else where she can't see the other dog.
Let her back out when she isn't pacing or whining. And just repeat as needed. Rodeo becomes too rough at the park and he gets an "enough" and if he doesn't immediately respond he gets put back on a leash. It works really well as long as you are consistent. _________________ Force Free Training ThreadCheyenne, Mishka, Mickey, Rodeo, & Odin Are you a Husky owner in South Florida?! | Snow plays really rough with my beagle Goober. Usually Goober will bay at her and she will stop, but she has her moments where he will act like she is killing him and we use the Leave It command with her. It helps a lot! It took us a few weeks to get her to respond to Leave It during our walks, but once she understood it became a lot easier to get her to listen. |

| I have tell cali very sternly to "BE NICE" and she calms down. It takes time and they need to know what the rules are. It is very hard to correct because my huskies, as most, play very rough together. STeve has to go to other area of park because of it. And since that means my huskies all go, they get to play how they want and then people go "oh huskies, lets go on that side."
Best of luck though, dedication on correcting it and you will get them to play how you prefer them to |

| I second Kristina. I, too, have a Beagle and when my GSD starts playing too rough, all it takes is a firm "Enough" and she stops. Same goes for all my dogs when they get too rough with each other... |
