Ok. I see. I can PM her parents. I have her pedigree on paper but you can look up her parents.

Ah, the kayenta dog was the sire to the highlander litter. I know highlander very well.

Ok, I hope I am not mis-speaking. I am pretty sure that is correct, but I have to double check. She has an excellent pedigree. Her grandfather is a Highlander dog for sure. This was a very good litter she came from~feel pretty darn lucky to have her.

Yuki isn't show quality, anyone knows that lol. Shes approaching 8 months (next week) and gets spayed this monday, but I am just curious to see where she stands Smile I think shes definitely closer to standard than her siblings, most her siblings seem bulky? If thats the right word to describe it, and shes the only one who doesn't have a snap tail or a tail thats lean far to one side. I wonder why she turned out so different from them xD

Eyes too round, oversized ears, nice topline, decent croup (which is probably part of the reason she has a more appropriate tail than her siblings), no chest at all, too straight in the sifles, and slightly cow hocked, nice length of leg, and a nice moderate coat. I'd be curious how she moves out.

Thanks for taking the time to do that Very Happy I know the pictures weren't great - she loves to move around! What did you mean by 'how she moves out'? Thankies again ^-^

You'd want to get a video of her gaiting.

Thanks Very Happy I got a couple of short videos.. but even that was hard. I have no one who is able to record for me so I had to try and set my camera somewhere where I could have space to do it. Maybe later I can have someone record us doing it outside.

If you could take it outside and get more than a couple steps that would be awesome. I have the same problem in the ring just no room to get a dog into a nice working gait.

As soon as I get someone to record it for me I will. Abby should be home soon... -evil laugh-

I'm curious to see how he'd stack, although I've never stacked a dog. I have a feeling Snoopy would be easier to do it to lol

Yeah she pretty much moves like I thought she would. She's got no drive in the rear, that's the short croup. Pretty stick like movement in the front from lack of chest. Still she's cute and nothing will keep her from doing other activities like obedience, rally, or agility Smile

Yeah like I said, I knew she wasn't show quality. But I'm pretty happy with how she turned out given her siblings. Obedience? hahaha you might have to explain to her what that means!! We're definitely looking into agility though Smile

She's always quick to try to jump things, and she loves turning sharp corners when dogs are chasing her. She always has so much fun when shes able to go around and over things so I figured she would love doing agility. Shes only 7 and a half months though so we've still go a while to wait, right now we're working on mushing commands for when we go bike-joring this fall or next spring Very Happy

I was wandering what you guys think of Karli. I don't intend to show her and of course, to us, she's perfect, but I am curious as to what her faults would be. Her mom was pretty, her dad's eyes were a little far apart (at least in my opinion lol.)

Conformation - Conformation - A Realistic Look at Sibes and their faults :) - Page 9 IMG_1506_zps7fff6da7 Her eye isn't actually green, its blue/brown, but in every picture of her face straight on it comes out green lol.

Conformation - Conformation - A Realistic Look at Sibes and their faults :) - Page 9 IMG_1507_zps47d512ed

Let me know if I need any more pix. I've never stacked a dog so I don't know if I did it properly or not. She's 8 months old and spayed, so of course confirmation is out of the question. I think she'd be rather good at agility though, she can turn on a dime. Thanks ahead of time!!!

I would love your thoughts on Nika. She is only 10 weeks but we are considering showing her. If its too early to tell, let me know. I am interested to know your thoughts without knowing her background (or what she will look in a few months).

Looks like a Karnovanda dog.... those ears are awesome!! Sorry, I have no feedback on her confirmation. I'm no expert.

Not Karnovanda, but some of you may recognize her lines I think. She is the dearest, sweetest, smartest sibe I have ever met (and she's our third, we love them all but she is really special). I am absolutely astonished by how smart she is.

I wouldn't peg her as Karnovanda - different head piece.

Highlander maybe?

Not highlander either. But those are gorgeous huskies! I think it may be too obscure, since she isn't from a commercial kennel. Her dad is Britestars Jaimeson Whiskey and her dam is Topaz' Unwrapped (whom you may not have seen, but I think some if you would know the kennel). We got her after losing our beloved 12.5 y/old husky, whom we got from a boutique breeder but who had Innisfree lines. We have never shown a dog but Nika is so, so smart we are starting to think it might be unfair not to, especially given her parents, so I have reached out to her breeder to discuss it.

A picture of the husky we lost.
