| No. A Malamute should not have a wooly coat. _________________ |

That's Maggie - she's a Malamute that belongs to a member on the forum (norbreedslove or Erica)

These are taken from her scrapbook. _________________ |

Great - thanks! Do you know anything about their temperament? How do they compare to Sibes? (I assume they still can't be let off lead, have a high prey drive, and pull your arms off??) At any rate, it'll be atleast 6 or 7 years until I'll be able to get another dog...so I shouldn't be worry about this stuff now. |

| You're welcome Erica would be a better person to ask about their temperament than me. She says Maggie (and the Malamutes she knows/met) are more calm compared to a Siberian but still have lots of energy. I know they tend to have a higher (I wouldn't say drastically higher but it's there) instances of same sex aggression. Malamutes were bred to be freighting dogs where the Siberian's were bred for distance with light loads - so while it may feel like a Siberian is pulling your arm off - a Malamute probably will. But as with anything it can be trained to where they walk nicely on leash etc. They have the high prey drive and shouldn't be trusted off leash. _________________ |

| Hard to really evaluate.. She looks overweight and out of condition. No chest, too straight in the rear, short croup, she does have a nice amount of bone. |

| Yep. White lower half, light grey upper half, black streak down his back, sandy beigey red on his head, black perimeter around his ears. |

| It is likely he will fade into a grey and white dog. this is exactly what happened with Cato.
I can't really evaluate those pictures because they aren't straight on. Could you retake come and post those? Thank. |

| When you stack a Siberian, his legs should not be that far back at all, he should not be slanted. |

| ok, thanks. but for the record, I'm not actually gonna show him so I'm not practicing it perfectly. It's really just for fun and amusement. These were a series of rapid fire shots, and I chose the ones that simply weren't blurry |
