So I'm flipping between two scooters, and for those urban mushers out there, want YOUR opinions on which one is the better option between the two?

The first one I'm looking at is the Diggler Dirt Dawg HB. I like the appearence of the scooter, and I know Diggler scooters have a pretty good reputation in the dog scooter business. Problem is, I can't afford 500$ to spend on some super fancy scooter. Has anyone used/using the Diggler Dirt Dawg HB? I'm in FL, so we have a lot of cyprus roots, flat trails, and lots of puddles and sand. The size of the tires are appealing, but I'm not sure if they'll go through sand smoothly.

The second one I'm looking at is the All-Terrain Scooter from Kaz-USA. The design of this one has smaller tires, but they're wider, and not exactly bike tires. Supposedly it will rip right through sand, but idk if I believe that. This one also has a much higher weight limit on it, meaning the boyfriend would be able to hop onto this scooter so it wouldn't just always be me running the team if he ever wanted to join me.

Ugh, I'm rambling, like I always do. Could y'all just give me some opinions on these scooters please? Ha ha.

I just got the Dirt Dawg HB and can't wait to use it! It's been snowing here lately so i haven't put it together yet. I have no idea which one would be better for sand...

I'm very curious to know how you like your scooter! Do you mind me asking how tall you are? Are the handle bars a good height?

I love it! I'm 5'4" probably and the handle bars are a pretty good height. My dad has it the shortest it can go and i may adjust it a bit to make it a little better but it has a lot of room to adjust. I love the brakes too, i had to adjust them from how my dad had them but they're really good and stops quick. I've only used it on roads in my neighborhood but i think it would do well on sand and dirt. Wish there was a sandy place around here i could try it out on but i don't think there is any. It goes over curbs really well too.

Wolfbandit, Don.t know if you have decided on a scooter yet but I have searched for quite a while and finally decided on a Toucan 20. Price is good, has 20" wheels for just about any terrian and has a payload of 225 pounds which is handy for a person my size (6'2" 200lbs).

They are available through http://www.belizebike.com/english/99201.html

Hope this is some help if not too late.

This is the one I got a couple of years ago. I wish it had a little more clearance off the ground but we don't go very far with it anyway since our pups just don't pull when we're on it.

I am not a scooter fan. I prefer being on a mountain bike. I don't think those scooters can make the trails I go on. That is just my opinion.

Definitely not made for mountain/dirt trails unless you get scooters that have higher clearance and beefy knoby tires. Scooters are fun for kicking it around the hood or on bike paths that don't have too much traffic.
