I am going to be placing an order through http://www.hare-today.com and so far I am getting
10lbs beef kidney
10lbs turkey liver
10lbs pork liver
10lbs beef lung
6lbs bison liver
5lbs ground green tripe
9lbs beef gullet

Should I get some hearts too? I know they aren't considered organ for feeding purposes. This is hopefully going to be my only order for a while, so I want to make sure I stock up on everything I'll need Smile

Will you be getting another secreting organ such as kidney or pancreas elsewhere to feed in addition to the liver? If not, do they carry any of that there?

I'm assuming you're just ordering things that are harder to acquire locally for cheap.

I have yet to find any organ other than chicken liver. Then again, I haven't looked too hard :p
But I'm ordering beef kidney and beef lung

I saw you had 10 lbs of beef kidney already, but then you had 26 lbs of liver. Ideally, of the 10% organ in a PMR diet, you want to feed approximately 5% liver and the other 5% from a different secreting organ like kidney. Just seems like you'll end up with disproportionate amounts that's all.

Oh ok I gotcha. I'll just take out some liver and order more kidney/lung to make it 50/50. Are their raw meaty bones ok? I'm not sure how tough the bones are in them.

I've never ordered from them so I couldn't tell you, but I should think they'd be fine. Maybe someone else with experience can chime in. I would hold off on weight bearing bones until your pup is older though.

Well I ended up ordering
6lb Beef Kidney
4lb Pork Livers
6lb Beef Lung
4lb Turkey Livers
4lb Bison Liver
6lb Whole Atlantic Herring
6lb Whole Sardines
5lb Beef Heart

I had to cut down the order so I'd still have some room in the freezer for the meats Smile It came out to about 2.40/lb, which isn't great, but not terrible

I order from them often due to the limited kind of meats Luka can eat, and have always been very happy with their products! Mine enjoy the whole prey items, most of those have organs left in them, so thats another way to include organs in their diet.

Once Nikko got a bit bigger I figured I would try some bigger items. But the rabbits seem way too big for one meal. And the quail and mice are too small lol
