| Sorry guys, I dont know if there is already a thread like this one. Im getting my husky in about 2 1/2 weeks. I went to visit him twice now, and Im happy to see he has kept his mask. I think thats what you call it, right? The moms mask faded away completly! While the dads stayed the same. Did your pups mask fade? So Im thinking you guys could post pictures of before and after? Like, you know, a picture of how your puppies mask was when you first got him, and then a picture of how it is NOW or when he became an adult. I want to see how the masks change over time |

| Their mask's can constantly change throughout their life, usually getting more white. Hayden has kept his mask for the most part (it has changed slightly) |

| My male looked very similar to yours as a baby. At 6 months he had a dirtyish face with goggles, and by 11 months he has a completely open mask aside from the lines between his eyes. Koda as a pup, 8 weeks: 10 weeks: 16 weeks: 6 months: Koda at a year: And he is 4 1/2 in my signature.

| Thanks guys! And yes, when you Can heather, please post a before and after picture. Im hoping for his mask to stay, but like I said before, im betting that it will fade Ah, Jennel, what are the odds all 3 of them kept their mask XD lol hope I get as lucky. My Pup looks like he has a thick white line though, so Im guessing thats just gunna get bigger? |

| I already updated it. I would guess for it to pretty much go all away like Koda's did as they are very similar.

| Whoa! It looks like you stole my puppy XD LoL he is too adorable! I hope it doesnt fade, like Kodas :3 he really is handsom. Thanks for the pictures everyone! I think its neat/scary how the masks fade for some, and are perminant for others.
I also love seeing pics of pups that look close to mine XD gives me a great idea or insight on what mine may look like <33
Heather, So the thick white line between Kodas eyebrows, that got Thinner? I can see that the mask under his eyes starts to fade, but the line between his forhead head doesnt. I thought you meant that the line would fade, like the other husky in your sig. Rouge, right? She how she has a full white forehead? I meant would that happen to my puppy as well? |

Koda's line thinned out significantly if you look at my signature, it's very possible for your dogs lineto end up going away completely, and there's a chance it'll just become thin, or it could could change not at all. There really is no way to predict what happens to your dog's coat. I wouldn't worry about it. Your dog could be completely different looking in a year and there's nothing you can do about it. Even after a year, they can still have the possibility of it changing quite a bit. The dogs that have kept full masks for the most part though, Ana, Juneau, and Ares, had much more defined and much darker masks than what your dog has. So the chances of your dog's mask staying the same as it gets bigger are no where near as high in my opinion, since it's more light and faint. Rogue never had a mask. Always has an open white mask. Only thing that happened to her she only has very faint "eyeliner" now and when she was 9 weeks, she had thicker eyeliner. |

| If you look at my scrap book for Lucian you can see his mask slowly changing, it goes from 8 weeks old, to 16 weeks. I do pictures every two weeks with him. What I've noticed the most is the black on the side of his eyes seems to be thinning out some. The rest of his coat has lightened up some as well. He's mostly grey now, lol. https://www.itsahuskything.com/t6701-lucian-s-scrap-book-updated-11-20-2012 |

| ^^ Thanks you guys!
So Koda's line thinned out? Im totally fine with that. I can see in your signature he is still very handsome :3 Dont get me wrong, I think Rogue is adorable! But I prefure the closed masks, rather than the open one.
Lucians mask seems to havnt changed yet :o God, hes so cute. It makes more excited till I get mine. Ughh, 4 weeks is such a long time >.< LoL
Yulie, your Husky is so cute ^.^ And your right, her mask stayed in tact!
And Heather, yeah I was thinking the same thing. That m pup is more lighter coated, so his mask will deffinatly fade. Im looking at the other pups that had kept their mask, and their caot was darker. I dont think I will be able to tell completly until 8 weeks. Hes 4 weeks, and hes a fury little guy, but Im guessing hes still got another 4 weeks, so his coat could get either darker or lighter.
But anyways, I doubt I would love my puppy any less, even he had the mask I wasnt aiming for. His personality is to die for, and Ill be so attached to him, it wont matter on his looks. But since I dont have him this moment, Im always thinking "How will his mask turn out?" or "I hope he gets a bit darker" or wondering if he has two different colored eyes or not.
Mine has blue eyes, that will STAY blue right? Or has anyones huskies eyes changed? My puppy was 4 weeks, so I think its eye color is set, right?
Btw, I love all the before and after pictures ^.^ They are all so cute, and I love to see how huskies grow from puppies into adults :3 I know when I make mine eventually, Im going to get teary eyes >.> LoL |

| Keep in mind that even dogs with thick masks, like Jennet's Ares for example, can have them open up over the years. I have seen dogs with full masks like Ares at 2 yrs old only to see them open up slowly over several years so that by the time they are middle aged their mask is open. And I've seen others keep their full mask, it's fascinating to watch and guess how each individual will change...or not.

| ^^ Oh wow! When I first saw him as a puppy, I thought that his mask would deff stay. But it looks like it lightened up a lot. Looks like every puppy is different. Im wondering if mine will turn out like heathers, or if he will end up completly different LoL
All of your pupps are so cute! It just makes me want mine more ;_; Hope these 3 weeks fly by fast. |

| Absolutely. I actually wasn't expecting it to change as drastically as it did. When I show people Sage's puppy pics they find it hard to believe it's the same dog lol. Sage at 9 weeks: Now: |
