Forum Rules | 1. Here we prefer clarity to agreement. Obviously not everyone is going to agree on a topic; here we prefer to talk out our differences in a respectful manner to ensure mutual understanding and respect. 2. Read the Stickies and Announcements. Each sub-forum may have specific rules which trump the Forum Rules in cases where there may be conflicting information. Read the rules of each board before you post so that you are clear on the expectations of the staff. 3. Respect ALL Staff and Admins. These people volunteer of their time and MUST be respected as well as their word adhered to. They are responsible for maintaining a free, open, clear and organized forum. Anyone found to be openly undermining any official ruling by a staff member will be warned. 4. Signatures: One picture only and no links. Images: To keep the forum looking neat and tidy, we ask that members insert just one picture only in their signatures. The picture should be no more than 200x500 pixels and should be of an appropriate subject, for example, your dogs and their names. Should you need assistance creating an appropriate signature, please PM an Admin and we would be happy to help! This is to ensure that signatures remain a welcome addition to our forum instead of a cumbersome distraction. Links: Hyperlinks in signatures--unless to a personal blog or photo stream of your dogs (like Flckr or Piscasa, for example)--are strictly prohibited. Please PM a staff member with any questions or concerns regarding this rule. |

| Attention all Husky and Malamute People!
We are having a meet up July 14 at the Lakewood Dog Exercise Area in Wauconda IL at 10:00 am. Here is a link to the LCFP website. http://www.lcfpd.org/preserves/index.cfm?fuseaction=preserves.viewActDetail&object_id=130 It provides information concerning the rules and requirements of the dog exercise area as well as the daily permit fees which are $5 for Lake County residents and $10 for non residents, as well as maps of the park. Hope to see you there! |

| I really hope to come to one of the meet ups, but Lucy's spay just got moved to July 26th so I wont take her and have the chance of her getting with another dog. Let me know if you have another one the next month, I will be there. Thanks |

Well nobody showed ! That had to suck. Its been the biggest reason why I've held back on doing one in our area. I've discussed it with a few locals and of course they say what a great idea, but it can be a different story on the day of the event. I don't do personal disappoint well. I'd like to say don't give up on staging another but I'm sure if it happen to me it would be my last time. |

| I'm sorry nobody showed It takes a while to get a group going. At the first SFL snowdogs meet up (that Kristina created) it was just me and her. Oh, and I think one more lady showed. It's been a little over a year now and the group has grown so much! Just keep trying to get the word out and you'll have people show |

| It does take a while. I started one up here, and have been going for about 3 months, and we still only have like one person show up, MAYBE. Just be consistent. Let people know about it, and advertise!! Eventually, it will catch on! |

| I would like to come to one of these but it is a 2.5 to 3 hour drive so it probably won't be for a while. I having a bit of an issue with my car right now and until I have the money to fix whatever this issue is then I don't want to drive it too far. So for now, I am going to watch this topic until I can go out of town. |
