2. Read the Stickies and Announcements. Each sub-forum may have specific rules which trump the Forum Rules in cases where there may be conflicting information. Read the rules of each board before you post so that you are clear on the expectations of the staff.
3. Respect ALL Staff and Admins. These people volunteer of their time and MUST be respected as well as their word adhered to. They are responsible for maintaining a free, open, clear and organized forum. Anyone found to be openly undermining any official ruling by a staff member will be warned.
4. Signatures: One picture only and no links. Images: To keep the forum looking neat and tidy, we ask that members insert just one picture only in their signatures. Should you need assistance creating an appropriate signature, please PM an Admin and we would be happy to help! Not to forums in general, but to this one yes! We adopted our 10 week old husky two weeks ago and she has just been a joy to have. Karli is my hubby's and I's first dog together, although we do have other pets (birds, which have their own room so Karli will never see them) but dogs have always been my passion. I grew up with them and when we decided on getting a dog, getting a husky was right for us. Look forward to sharing with you all!

Breeder...sorry forgot to post that! My hubby has a fear of dogs (or he did when I met him) so starting off with a puppy seemed like a smart idea. There weren't any breeders with puppies near us when we were looking (you would think being in WA that wouldn't be an issue Razz ) so we had to drive 7hrs to Idaho to get her. But I think she was totally worth it!!! Very Happy

Thank you! She's quite the character. She likes to drink out of cups like we do lol. Sticks her whole head in it.

Kale is adorable! How do huskies handle warm weather? My father-in-law tried to tell my husband after we got Karli that huskies will die in hot weather. I'm a Newbie! 1625187496

Kale does fine during the summer months. We just make sure to run the AC in the summer and he stays inside the whole day. He gets walks after dark when it's cooler. I also make sure to brush his undercoat out as much as possible. He's kinda lethargic the whole summer lol He's just now starting to perk up and has TONS more energy Smile We had highs of 110 and Kale did perfectly fine Wink Me? not so much LOL I loathe summer! haha

Which kennel did you get your pup from? She's a cutie!

I got my male from a breeder, so I know how much fun it is to have that cute little puppy! Any struggling with potty training?

We got her from a gentleman named Rusty Butterfield. He gave me full AKC registration for her as well. She's doing very well, the four couple days she had no accidents, then I had to work early one day and that was a bad day (I think she was mad at me lol) and since then she's had one or two but no more pooping in the house!! Very Happy
