A tip for cutting nails is holding Karli on her back in your lap and making her settle a couple of times. Once she is comfortable settling like that it is way easier cutting nails at least for me. I had a trainer teach me this and it was truly a blessing. As for nail cutting just don't cut the pink and you are good! Below is what position I am referring to.



ETA: She will probably be very upset with you the first few times like Anna was but after she is fine. I can cut nails easily. Make sure to treat too. If she starts getting anxious when you move to cutting nails tell her it is okay and give her a goody! Hope that helps!

Thank you so much it really does!!! They made it look so easy at the vet's office and my hubby holds her for me but she whines really bad and tries to chew on him to get away (even though she knows hands are not toys lol).

So the holidays put me a bit behind...time to catch up!!!

It is probably the best $25 I've spent so far...its bungee-like and she can't chew through it. She chewed through the retractable leash lol.

16/52 Karli got to go to the dog park a couple times this week and made a new friend with a pitbull who she loved. My hubby taught her how to shake as well.



And this is Mocha, my friend's newfie mix...Mocha couldn't quite keep up with the younger pups lol. But that didn't stop her from trying.

She is such a good girl. We're gonna be getting her spayed at the beginning of March.

22/52 Karli got spayed this week. She was a good girl and was very calm when I went to get her afterwards. Of course, she's going stir crazy right now but all I can do at the moment is take her on short walks. Can't wait til she's fully healed so we can go back to the dog park lol.

24/52 So I know everyone has seen Karli's adventures in the meet up so I'll just post some pictures from last week when we were finally able to go to the dog park after two weeks.

This is Karli's boyfriend, MoMo. He's a big goofball who loves to play with her (both are fixed lol)

Karli has never had a dog surrender to her before, she's usually the one to do the surrendering.

27/52 I really need to get better at uploading pix every week. I just get so busy lol.

Grandma and Grandpa got her this for Christmas. I know there is some iffy things about rawhide, and pig ears are our go-to for chews but she's never had any issues with rawhide and I only let her chew on it when I'm able to keep an eye on her. But this keeps her occupied for a good amount of time in the evening when we are just hanging out on the couch together.

28/52 It was surprisingly warm here this week so I took Karli to the beach for some fun in water. She wasn't impressed with it because she couldn't drink it lol.

So it was super nice and warm on Monday, hubby and I decided to take Karli hiking over at Deception's Pass. When we got to the beach I decided to take her in the water. I really need to get rubber boots so I don't always have to have numb feet when I do this lol.
