| I integrated raw food into Mahlees diet. Now she refuses to eat her dry food. SHe would eat it when i mixed in eggs meat or penutbutter, but now she wont even eat it if there is anything in there. if I give her some chicken, she will eat it right off the bone, if i give her steak she will eat it right off the bone, and then she hides her bones lol. WHat do you guys think? |

| Are you informed enough and committed to feeding raw properly? Do you have the means and ability (freezer space/meat source/availability) to support raw feeding full time? Do YOU want to switch your dog to raw completely? If the answer to all those questions is yes, then absolutely go ahead and make the switch. _________________ |

| I have the resources and the knowledge to do so. im trying to keep both in the diet. Im just a little nervous because shes not lethargic, shes pooping solid but wont eat her food most of the time. I exercise her a lot between dog parks, chasing toys and multiple walks and runs through out the day, also lots of training sessions. |

| Is she receiving a lot of treats which might enable her to hold out more for the foods she prefers? _________________ |

| only peanut butter in her kong, and when I am training her. But ill put peanut butter or chunks of meat in her dry food and she will avoid it like the plague. if i give her good without the dry in it she inhales it. I wanted to originally get her on raw in the first place. but figured I would try dry first. Im experimenting today to see if I can find a decent ratio where I can mix some amounts of dry and some chicken or beef. I went as far as to even blending penut butter and the dry food, so it would smell more like peanut butter and have the same texture but she wouldnt budge. Im a costco and sams shopper so we will be ok. Its just her and I that live here and I pretty much eat the same food as I feed her because I follow that paleolithic diet. THank you so much for the advice.
Oh yes, and I add in a multivitamin with her peanut butter. |

| When I was trying to get Varu to eat dry food I had to withold all training treats. If he had any other food he wouldn't touch his kibble. Eventually if the dog Is hungry enough it'll eat the kibble. I eventually switched to raw though as I was tored of dealing with his flod issues with kibble(refusing to est and loose stools).

| Thank you Merch! For us stopping training is not an option so a change in diet is. We have our pack order, and I am a fitness trainer, nutritionist and do a lot of training myself. I figure her quality of life should be the same as mine. THe only reason I didnt follow through our first go around with trying the raw was because I didnt feel comfortable enough in the feeding. But I have done alot of research and read alot of great info.to help us. |

| Could you not use kibble as training treats if you prefer to still incorporate kibble? Sounds like you're going to make the switch but it's just a thought if you are still undecided. _________________ |

When I tried that he'd take the first piece in his mouth, spit it out and the walk away. lol But Varu is super picky and won't eat most dog treats. |

But Varu is super picky and won't eat most dog treats. Same here. I started with kibble as trick treats, and then she stopped eating them for treats. Then she stopped eating kibble all together. She is very picky, and most the time wont even eat normal treats. Id take her out and tell her how good she is, shed get excited, come up and sit, spit the treats out and then give me an obnoxious look like im trying to poison her. Ive tried a few different brands of kibble, and a few different brands of treats. |
