are there any tips/ tricks to know when my husky is sad, happy, depressed or just plain tired? she exercised twice today and 9am approximately 3 miles then at 3pm 7.40 miles so a total of 10.40miles today.. im pretty sure thats a good dose of exercise for her. she's a rescue pup at 18 months

Every dog is different. The only person who is going to know your dog's body language is you. It takes time and patience to understand your dog and what her signals and signs are.

Rule #1: Don't rush it. Don't try and force a relationship into existence.

Breathe, stick to as much routine as possible, and care for your dog as best you can. If you can do that, you will learn soon enough what her body language means.

The advice given is pretty much right. How long have you had the husky? That is def enough exercise. A happy husky is a tired husky is the saying around here. If they aren't happy, alot of the time they get destructive, my foster German shepherd does that if you leave her in a crate, if she is free roaming dog in the room, she is perfect angel.

yeah, if its just three days, let things ride for a good two weeks. That gives a dog time to adjust to the new place and people. At least that is what I do. All my fosters go to their new home on a two week test b4 I give up on them. They need to adjust and just a few days is never enough time.

The important reading is the one that involve pacing back and forth to the door it means they have to go peeeeeeee.

And I agree with Koda's advice. Don't rush things. When I adopted Suka, it took me awhlie (a few weeks) to understand his body language (he 'dances' when he has to go pee!) and for him to trust me.
