| Subject: Weeing the bed... Thu Nov 01, 2012 11:50 pm | |
| Help - Our male Malamute pup has started weeing in his bed during the night (only the last two nights) we have no idea why and what to do to stop him. It seems to be quite deliberate, yesterday morning he came out of our room went to his bed and started weeing. We're buying them both new beds today to see if that will stop it. They don't do it during the day just at night, at this stage we think it's only Hunter as we haven't seen Mils do it - any suggestions welcome |

| I am having the same problem so will be watching for replies... Yuki pees on her dog bed, my bed, and the couch. I immediately tell her no, pick her up and put her outside, and treat her when she goes outside, but she doesn't seem to care. Stubborn pups. |

| Anna peed on our bed for the longest time. We think it was a dominance thing. We stopped letting her on the bed and told her NO very sternly. Eventually she stopped. I don't truly know what it is.
Stacy and Sam do you close your bedroom door at night because if not I would if their beds are in a different room. Do you take them pee as soon as you get up? |

| He's not peeing on our bed but his own bed which was the problem, we ended up buying them both a new bed over the weekend, and it seems to have stopped the wetting the bed problems we were having. |

| What did you was the bedding with? They might have been the problem. That whatever you were cleaning it with they could still smell it maybe, like how dogs potty in the same place. Maybe try spraying it with like a Nature's miracle spray and then washing it if it happens again. |

| You chuck them out every time they peed on them? That's what I'm asking. I am assuming from this post they pottied on their beds multiple times not once. I am saying maybe whatever you washed them with, if they pottied on them multiple times and you did wash them then maybe the detergent didn't get the smell out which made them pee in the same spot. I am assuming you aren't going to throw out each bed after they pee on them each time.
Edit maybe I am not explaining it right. By the way I meant wash in the previous post not was. Sorry. |
