That's great that it's working! Start reducing the treats in a few days and just continue to give lots of praise. I can't speak for other huskies, but mine is very quiet when she needs to go out ie: she doesn't whine or make a noise at the back door, she just sits and waits. Whenever she wanders towards the kitchen, someone always has to go check that she's either going for a nap or actually wants to go outside.

Excellent! Char was also quiet so I decided to go the bell route, he caught on quickly to ring the bell when he needed to go out. That being said he will ring it when he just wants to go out and play too. He has been accident free for months now so I will ignore him if I think he is just playing.

I started the bell training with Lucian as well. At first he wouldn't go down the few stairs to my side door. He would just go sit at the top of the steps. So if no one was paying attention we could have possibly ended up with an accident. Today was a major break through though. He went down the stairs, rang the bell, and went poop! I was so happy, lol. For the first few days it seemed like he had no clue what was going on, and then all of sudden got it. I would suggest the bells.

I bought the bells from Walmart in the pet section. They hang right over the door knob. I started off by ringing the bells myself, and then opening the door. Then taught him the touch command. I just had him touch my hand with his nose, then started putting my hand near the bells. It will take some time, but it works rather nice. I hear about a lot of people using the bells.
